Port Allegany – Joan M. Hardenstine, 82, of Smethport, PA passed away Monday (October 2, 2023) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.

She was born November 7, 1940 in Mount Pocono, PA, the daughter of David and Louise (Drey) Dunlap. On November 19, 1960 in Swiftwater, PA, she married Harold R. Hardenstine, who survives.

Mrs. Hardenstine attended Barrett Schools.

She was a homemaker tending to the needs of her family. She was a member of the Smethport Senior Center and the Elderberrys Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons; Clinton Hardenstine of Coal Township, PA and Mark (Doreen Shook) Hardenstine, of Edgewater, FL.

Two daughters; Roberta (Raymond) Keller of Stroudsburg, PA and Anna (Dan) Coolbaugh, of Skytop, PA. Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
