Jeffery Allen Johnston, 62, of Woodbine
Jeffery Allen Johnston, of Woodbine, died suddenly of a heart attack on April 8, 2023, in his home.
Born Sept. 7, 1960, in Wellsville, N.Y., he was the son of William J. Johnston, of Cuba, N.Y., and Cheri Ambrose, of Severna Park.
Jeff will be remembered by all as a kind and generous man. He was a biker, avid hunter and a lover of animals and the outdoors, despite being allergic to both. Jeff and his partner, She-Jay, always enjoyed their trips on their motorcycles, including the 100th anniversary celebration of Harley Davidson in Milwaukee.
Before retirement, Jeff was a machinist. Jeff was a graduate of Bolivar (N.Y.) Central School. His nickname was Ton from his days of playing football for the Bolivar Bulldogs and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He also had a part in the John Waters movie, “A Dirty Shame.”
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-mother, Peggy Johnston; his loving partner of 35 years, She-Jay Travers; brothers Joe Johnston of Bolivar, Jonny Johnston of Lima, Ohio, and Jay (Cheryl) Johnston of Severna Park; step-brothers John (Thana) Smith of Cuba, Tom (Kristen) Smith of Victor, N.Y., and Bob (Karina) Smith of Canandaigua, N.Y.; a step-daughter, Brandyellen Richardson; a step-granddaughter, Charlotte Dicentra; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was pre-deceased by his stepfather, Al Ambrose.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday (April 22, 2023) at Saint Raphael Cemetery in Eldred, Pa. The family will receive friends at the Bolivar Golf Club immediately following.
