Jane Ann Thompson “beloved wife, mother and grandmother”
Jane Ann Thompson, 77, of Coudersport, passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in Manatee Hospital, Bradenton, Florida.
Born on Tuesday, March 5, 1946 in Wellsboro, she was a daughter of Albert R. and Edith Mae Eaton Nordquist. On January 25, 1964, she married Roy A. Thompson, who survives.
Jane was a graduate of Galeton High School. She attended Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y. Not only was she a farm partner for life, but was a gardener, artist, landscaper, animal lover and a “Jill” of all trades.
She moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2011 due to health issues to be by her sisters. After her health declined, she would still return to the beloved Century Farm every summer to take part in the operation and care. Every Christmas, Jane’s family looked forward to her infamous Cod Fish pudding, with her being a good cook all year round.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy; two sons, Scott (Sandy) Thompson of Coudersport and Rob (Nicole) Thompson of Coudersport; three granddaughters, Alyson, Lillian, and Elizabeth; a great-grandson, Julius; five siblings, John Nordquist and Steve Nordquist, both of Coudersport, Peg (Denny) Hall of Mayaka, Florida, Dottie Hill and Nancy (Rick) Pagano, both of Sarasota, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by three siblings, Albert “Nork” Nordquist, Gail Fish, and Nels Nordquist.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Jane’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, Pa.
