James Dorr Thomas, age 70, was a son of the late George and Doris (Lyon) Thomas of Westfield, PA and was born in Wellsboro on June 20, 1954.

James passed following a long illness on July 3, 2024 at his home in Lawrenceville, PA, with his best friend, Jason Black (of Addison, NY) by his side.

James is survived by his older sister, Alice Prince in Jacksonville, FL; sister, Martha Rupp in Chicora, PA; and brother, Alan Thomas of Peachtree City, GA. James is remembered by the family for organizing family get-togethers, for his culinary talents, his handyman skills and his love for his pet dogs. James’ occasional grumpiness is forgotten by all (and is shared by us all).

He was a graduate from Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield, PA and worked at Corning Inc. for several years.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
