Howard G. “Bud” Boyce, age 84, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024.  He was born on October 31, 1939 in Blossburg, PA a son of the late Stephen H. and Mildred L (Peterson) Boyce and was the husband of the late Helen M. (Pawlik) Boyce who passed away in 2006. 

Bud was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA and was retired from Darrow’s Motor Company where he had worked for over 44 years.  He loved listening to country music and  listening and dancing to polka music.  He was an automobile enthusiast, loved his cats, especially Sylvester, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by sons: Andrew Boyce of Clearfield, PA, Stephen (Jill) Boyce of Tioga, PA, daughter: Wanda (Art) Wises of Havre, MT, brother: James Boyce of Westfield, PA, sister-in-law: Rosemary Boyce of Wellsboro, PA, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law: Mary Jane and Robert Wilber, four brothers: Roger Boyce, Donald Boyce, Stephen Boyce, Robert Boyce, and two sisters: Elizabeth Voght, Gloria Patt. 

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA at 9:00 am with Rev. Jacek Bialkowski officiating.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Blossburg, PA.
