Lake Effect Snow Warning issued November 26 at 11:46AM EST until November 29 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

DESCRIPTION: * WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow
accumulations of 7 to 12 inches in the most persistent lake
snows with local amounts up to 15 inches across the Chautauqua
Ridge. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce areas of
blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE…Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie
counties. Heaviest lake effect snows will remain well south of
the Buffalo Metro area.

* WHEN…From 10 AM Monday to 7 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The heaviest snow and most significant
impacts are expected Monday night through Tuesday, when snow
rates exceeding 1″ per hour can occur within snow bands.

INSTRUCTIONS: Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be
prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
