Harry D. Foster, Jr., 86, of Trout Run, PA
Harry D. Foster, Jr., 86, of Trout Run, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at UPMC – Williamsport. Harry was born on February 20, 1938, in First Fork, the son of the late Harry D. and Twila (Logue) Foster. He married the former Sandra L. Houston on September 21, 1963, and celebrated 46 years of marriage until her passing on May 31, 2010.
Harry worked in construction, building bridges and dams with Dalrymple Construction, Elmira. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Trout Run. He loved the outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, the wildlife, birds and flowers at his cabin, and campfires. He also loved woodworking, painting, classic country music, game nights, his Wednesday lunch with the ladies at noon, and spending time with his family. Harry was also a wonderful storyteller.
Harry is survived by a son, David E. (Charlotte) Foster of Westfield; daughters; Susan L. Johnson of Williamsport; Ginger S. Post of Trout Run; Penny L. Fuller of Austin; and Kelly A. Kelly of Liberty; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Harry was preceded in death by an infant son, Harry D. Foster, III, a granddaughter, Sabrina, a great great granddaughter, Marley, and five sisters and brother-in-laws.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects, Monday, May 13, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 N. East St., Coudersport where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Rick Waters of the First Church of Williamsport, officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore Cemetery, Grove Twp.
