Hamilton Gibson Productions Hosts Their 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration
Hamilton Gibson Productions hosts their 4th annual New Year’s Eve celebration this year, and all are invited to the “Laurel Highland Fling” on Tuesday, December 31st from 5:00 – 9:00pm at the Wellsboro Fireman’s Annex Banquet Hall, 21 East Ave. in Wellsboro, PA.
This combo Scottish and American Highland-themed event features a “Highland Welcome” at 5:00pm with local piper Scot Walker. Walker, whose grandfather immigrated from Scotland to settle in Erie, PA in the late 1920’s, is a fifth generation piper who made a name for himself as a prominent player both in the US, and Scotland throughout the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. He has been an award-winning individual player as well as pipe band leader and member, competing both in solo competitions and playing with North American and World Pipe Band Championship-winning bands, and has been an instructor for many decades with students distinguishing themselves both in the US and abroad. He has travelled globally to adjudicate and offer instruction, with upcoming activities to include returning to the 2025 South American Pipe Band Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and summer piping schools here in Pennsylvania.
HG’s “Laurel Highland Fling” also includes live Highland music during the cocktail hour with local musicians 3D & Friends, and guided country line dancing following a buffet dinner. Other fun activities are an optional American & Scottish whiskey tasting, cash bar, exciting raffles with prizes including a custom Mackenzie tartan-inspired hat by milliner of the stars, Christine Moore, and “wear your best plaid” contests, encouraging all to dress up in your favorite “highland” threads.
Tickets are $49 per person and are available along with more details at www.hamiltongibson.org.
