George J. Pascarella, 86, of Bradford, PA

George J. Pascarella, 86, of Bradford, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.
He was born on September 27, 1938 in Bradford, a son of the late Carmen and Elvira “Georgie” Alviti Pascarella.
He was a 1956 graduate of the former St. Bernard School.
On February 28, 1963 in the St. Bernard Catholic Church, he married Patricia Fox who survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served stateside from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1967.
George was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time with his family. He was also elected to serve on the Bradford City Council for two terms in the 2000’s.
He worked for several years for his uncle Jack Alviti at PV Paving prior to working at the Dresser Manufacturing Co. for nine years. He then owned and operated George’s Barbershop for forty-five + years until his death.
In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, Patricia Pascarella of Bradford he is also survived by one son, Jeffrey (Bridget) Pascarella of Bradford; three daughters, Ann (Jerry) Payne, Jill Pascarella and Amy (Mike) Haviland all of Bradford; two brothers, Carmen (Margaret) Pascarella, II of Rochester, NY and James Pascarella of Bethel Park; two sisters, Rose Piganelli of Bradford and Joanne Simon of Levittown; seven grandchildren, Samantha (Ryne) Wight, Michael (Kayla) Pascarella, Patrick (Michele) Pascarella, Lexandria (Matson) Pascarella, Brynn Haviland, Addie Haviland and Brody Haviland; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Pascarella and Louis Pascarella; one niece, Jamie Giordano and two nephews, Dominic Piganelli and Scott Simon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Gallina, retired priest, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
