Gene F. Hulings, 78, of the Lutheran Home at Kane and formerly of Milan, PA, Kane and Wilcox, PA died Saturday morning, December 17, 2022 at the Lutheran Home. She was born March 16, 1944 in Wilcox a daughter to the late Howard and Pearl Marie Sellers Finn. On November 30, 1963 she married Harold Hulings, Sr. who preceded her in death on December 10, 2005.
Gene had been at the Lutheran Home for the past 3 years and had spent her later years in life with her children in Milan, PA. She had also lived in Kane for many years. She spent much of her life in the Wilcox-Rasselas area and was a 1962 graduate of Wilcox High School.
She was a member of the Wyndham Community Church in Wyndham, PA and enjoyed the teachings of Pastor Pfleiger while at the Lutheran Home. She was also very involved in the many available activities available to her at the Home. She was a breast cancer survivor!, a very active grandmother and had been a member of the Kane Eagles.
Gene had worked as an Activities Aid for Dickinson Mental Health for 3 years and had worked as an Activities Aide at Bradford County Manor for over 20 years.
Gene is survived by her 3 children; Harold Hulings, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Gillett, PA, Annette Hulings and her companion J.B. Martin of Rome, PA an Timothy Hulings and his wife Brianna of Rome, PA and 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Gert Coder and her husband Bill Heatherdale of Kane, Connie Geiser of St. Marys and Gayle Finn of St. Marys and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by brothers Willard, Ronald and Billy, and sisters Janice Heatherdale, Rita Lehman, Frances Allegretto and Suellen McIntosh.
Funeral services and interment for Gene F. Hulings will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
