Gary Edward FALK, 78, of Kane, PA, formerly of Port Allegany, PA.

Gary Edward FALK, 78, of Kane, PA, formerly of Port Allegany, died Monday, February 24, 2025 in his home.
Born January 17, 1947, in Coudersport, he was the son of Vernon M. and Mildred L. Overdorf Falk. On June 21, 1969, in Port Allegany, he married Alice A. Cornwell, who survives. A 1964 graduate of Port Allegany High School, he attended Erie Business School for a couple years. Gary was employed by Kesco Hardware in Port Allegany, Clark Brothers in Olean, and retired from Saint-Gobain Glass Plant in 2002.
He was also a realtor for North Country Reality. Gary was fond of all things outdoors. In the winter, he could be found on the area’s many cross-country ski trails enjoying the snow and the company of friends. During the warmer weather, you could find him on his bike traveling many miles across the roads and highways. He was also an avid organic gardener, proudly selling his homegrown produce he grew on Green Darner Farm on Two Mile Road and local farmers markets. He was known to many for his top-of-the-line flavorful garlic. He was also a talented amateur photographer and enjoyed birdwatching.
Organizations he participated in included Pennsylvania CleanWays, with whom he worked to clean up area dump sites and waterways. He was also a member of McKean County Democratic Party, serving as a committee person and poll worker. He was an officer in his local union for many years. Gary was a great lover of movies and music. He attended many concerts in his lifetime and was a Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving besides his wife, Alice, are: three children, Marisa (Jim) Bechakas of Kane, Aaron (Riddhi) Falk-Mahapatra of Pittsford, NY, and Jason Falk of Fort Worth, TX; five grandchildren, Madison Falk, Hannah Bechakas, Reece Bechakas, Emily Bechakas, and Olee Falk-Mahapatra; four great-grandchildren, Braylen, Natalie, Macaih, and Amaya; a brother, Robert J. (Brenda) Falk of Eldred; four sisters, Janice A. Williams of Upland, CA, Anna S. Fair, Nancy L. Hardes, and Ellen M. (Chris) Mosher, all of Port Allegany; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Colin J. Falk; his stepfather, Richard Richner; a brother, Ronald L. Falk; and two brothers-in-law, David Fair and Terry Hardes.
Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Switzer Chapel, 77 Willow Street, Port Allegany, PA on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Rev. James A. Cannistraci will officiate.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
