FIREST1 : STRUCTURE FIRE – 1ST ALARM
230 WALNUT ST, Apt , WSTFLDBOR
Dept 5,6,16,26 and 3 (RIT) were dispatched for a reported structure fire. Engine 5-3 arrived reporting house well involved and to have the second due engine hit the hydrant on Walnut Street. Chief 5 responded and upgraded to a second alarm.

Engine 6-2 and Chief 6-20 responded crew of 6. Tanker 6-5 responded crew of 2. While entering the boro 6-2 called command and asked for orders. Orders from command were to catch a hydrant on Walnut Street. Engine 16-2 and engine 6-2 arrived and separate laid from two different hydrants to the scene.
Once on scene our manpower was moved forward and put to work. The 2nd alarm dispatched dept 10,17, 20, and rehab 6. Rehab 6 responded crew of 2 and teamed up with an ambulance from 26 to setup. Crews remained on scene for approximately 5 hours for extensive overhaul/standby. Troupsburg Fire Department was requested to stand by at our station while we were out. Thanks Troupsburg Fire dept! All dept 6 units went back into service at approximately at 1pm.
