Members of the 2024 Endless Mountain Music Festival Orchestra are presenting five free interactive EMMF Inspiration Concerts for children and adults, families and senior citizens, according to Coordinator Melanie Mashner. 

The musicians will share special performances of recognizable tunes from movies, video games and written by popular artists; demonstrate the instruments they play and talk about the different sections of the orchestra, including strings — violins, violas, cellos, double basses and harp; woodwinds — flutes, clarinets, oboes, and bassoons; and brass — trumpets, French horns, trombones, and tubas.

The first two concerts will be on Monday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at the Southeast Steuben County Library at 300 Nasser Civic Center Plaza in Corning, NY and on Monday, July 22 at 1 p.m. at the Mansfield YMCA at 40 Besanceney Drive #42 in Mansfield. Participating musicians are: Alex Walden on trombone, Cara Garofalo on violin, Joe Shafer on flute, Katie Danforth on oboe, Rebekah Lorenz on horn, Lauren Strachan on viola, Melanie Mashner on harp and Jacob Recendez and Lee Richey on cello.

The third concert – Concert on the Porch at the Wellsboro Green Free Library at 134 Main Street in Wellsboro – will be on Wednesday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Participating musicians are: Alex Walden on trombone, Lish Lindsey on flute, Katie Danforth on oboe, Rebekah Lorenz on horn, Lauren Strachan on viola, Melanie Mashner on harp and Jacob Recendez and Lee Richey on cello.

The last two concerts will be on Monday, July 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blossburg Memorial Library at 307 Main Street in Blossburg and Monday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at the Knoxville Public Library at 112 East Main Street in Knoxville. Participating musicians are: Alex Walden on trombone, Stephanie Tretick on viola, Lish Lindsey on flute, Rebekah Lorenz on horn, Melanie Mashner on harp and Jacob Recendez and Lee Richey on cello.
