Francis “Frank” Lupro, age 77, Emporium
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francis “Frank” Lupro, age 77, on January 15th 2025, following a brief illness. Born March 31st, 1947, Francis entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and cherished memories. Francis was a lifelong resident of Cameron County. He grew up in Sinnemahoning and lived out his years in Emporium. He graduated from Cameron County High School, served in the U.S. Army, and retired from GKN.
Born to Charles and Alma (Wood) Lupro, Francis grew up with a deep appreciation for family, a value that shaped his life and relationships. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Eileen Griffith Lupro, and his twin sister, Lois Lupro, who undoubtedly greeted him with open arms.
Francis found joy in the PA endless mountains. He loved hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, mowing grass (doing battle with dandelions) and helping his “park ladies”, pursuits that connected him to nature and gave him countless memories with family and friends. Whether fishing for native trout in Jerry Run or navigating trails on his dirt bike, he embraced life’s adventures with enthusiasm and a sense of fun that was infectious to all who knew him.Though a quiet man who kept to himself, Francis was always devoted to helping those around him, offering support and kindness in his own unassuming way.
He is survived by his oldest son, Scott Lupro, and daughter-in-law Julie, of Clayton, NC; his younger son, Cory Lupro, of St. Marys, PA, his brothers Randy Lupro and Laird Lupro, and their wives, Lori and Misty, of Driftwood, PA. Francis has 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Allyson, Hunter, and Jonathan, who will forever hold fond memories of their grandfather who they referred to as “Gramps”. Francis was also survived by nieces Lori Henry, Michele Lutz, Ashley Lupro, Dalton Lupro, and their loving families.
Though he is no longer with us, the love and lessons Francis shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. He is now at peace, reunited with those he held dear, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
Rest in peace, Dad. You will be deeply missed.
Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
