Flood Damage Repair Project Begins Tomorrow on Route 220 in Davidson Township, Sullivan County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a flood damage repair project will begin tomorrow on Route 220 in Davidson Township, Sullivan County.
Between Friday, November 7, 2025 and mid-December 2025, the contractor, Mitchell Knorr Contracting, Inc., will begin repair work between Fairman Road (Route 3003) and approximately a half mile south of Gavitt Road (T-320). Work includes removing trees, clearing debris, and repairing rock line ditches throughout the project area. Additional work includes replacing damaged pipes on Main Street (Route 2002) in Sonestown. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging during daylight hours where work is being performed.
Mitchell Knorr Contracting, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $2.6 million flood damage repair project. Work on this project includes restoration of slopes and ditches, pipe removal and replacement, pipe cleaning, shoulder reconstruction, removal and installation of four temporary access roads, roadway reconstruction on Main Street (T-300), and mill and paving of Old Route 220 (T-306). Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in the late fall 2026, weather permitting. There will be a winter shut down in mid-December 2025 with construction resuming in the spring 2026.
