Hamilton-Gibson Productions invites students completing grades 4-9 to register for the popular Summer Theater Arts Camp for Kids, taking place June 17-21 at the Tioga County Fairgrounds in Whitneyville, PA. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, June 5th.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Deerfield Charitable Trust and others, the camp is at no cost to student participants. This year’s theme is “Perchance to Dream” with all the songs, plays, and activities focused on the phenomenon of dreaming, including those that happen when we are asleep, daydreams, and those goals that we envision in the future. Each camper will build confidence as they engage with a host of staff members conducting sessions in building a character, projection of voice, singing, dancing creative arts, and doing some serious daydreaming. The camp culminates with two public performances on Friday, June 21 at 3:00 and 6:30.

“The Tioga County Fairgrounds is a great location to hold the camp as the structures we use are open air,” said Thomas Putnam, director of the camp. “There’s space to hold our sessions with a feeling of being outside. We’re looking forward to another good camp. We had to close during Covid but it’s been a steady and encouraging growth ever since. Kids from all over the county have made friends whom they don’t see anywhere else but in camps; it’s a great opportunity to meet new friends.”

Camp is open to any child within driving distance of the Tioga County Fairgrounds, and transportation is provided from various pick up points in Tioga County.  If you would like transportation information, please note this on your registration form.
