Edith J. (Greener) Metarko, age 91, formerly of Wellsboro, PA, died on Saturday, August 10, 2024. 

She was born on September 6, 1932 in Philadelphia (Germantown), PA, a daughter of the late Raymond R. Greener and Helen E. (Riday) Franck.  She was married for 67 years to Robert P. “Bob” Metarko and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Edith is survived by her husband: Bob Metarko of Quakertown, PA, daughter: Bette (Douglas) Gombar of Perkasie, PA, sons: Raymond (Theresa) Keck of Perkasie, PA, Greg (Toma) Metarko of Erin, NY, grandchildren: Gregory, Megan, Kristin, Ryan, Eric, Kelly, 19 great grandchildren and an “adopted son” Jon (Lisa) Solheim of Willow Grove, PA, sister: Bette (Bruno) LoPresti,  brothers: Eric (Joann) Franck, Kevin Franck, stepsister: Barbara DeFlavis. 

She was predeceased by a sister: Helen Wallace and brother: Carl Franck, Jr.. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am the Shumway Hill Cemetery, Wellsboro, PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town, P.O. Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68018.
