Dorothy A. Hagman, 95, of Hill St. in Mt. Jewett, PA passed away Friday (April 21) at the Sena Kean Manor.  She was born Dec. 28, 1927 in Wilcox, the daughter of the late Walter “Pete” and Enid (Freeman) Nelson.  On Aug. 12, 1953, in Johnsonburg, she married Karl Hagman, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hagman graduated from Beauty school in Pittsburgh and she also worked for several years at the diner in Mt. Jewett and for her father’s business, Nelson’s Groceries,  but the majority of her time was spent as a homemaker, enjoying time with her husband Karl and their numerous nephews and nieces.

She is survived by two nieces, Dr. Heidi Hagman-Linn of OR and Marlene Hagman of CA; five nephews, James Nelson Jr. of Wilcox, William Anderson of Warren, OH, Eric Hagman of Pittsburgh, Keith Hagman of FL and Kurt Hagman of OR.; her special caregiver Joyce Anne Nelson; one brother-in-law, Harold Hagman of Kane and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother James Nelson Sr., one sister Inez Anderson and a great-niece, Rachel Anderson.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in the Wilcox Cemetery.
