DONNA FRANCES LEHMAN “beloved Aunt Donna”
COUDERSPORT, PA—-Donna Frances Lehman, 87, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, PA passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, after a brief illness.
Born on June 22, 1936, in Coudersport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Anna Brooks Lehman.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, her loving sister Alice Lehman Cizek, nephew Brian Neil Cizek, and brother-in-law Norman Cizek.
Donna was fondly known as “Aunt” Donna as she loved “her kids” and was a major part of their lives. Surviving are her nieces, Marla Cizek of Harrisburg, PA, Wanda Cizek (Lawrence) Anzivine of Bemus Point, NY, Anita Cizek Moore of Sykesville, MD, Linda Cizek Rodgers of Springdale, PA, Delia “Dee” Cizek (Andrew) O’Palko of Morgantown, WV; grandnieces and grandnephews, Matthew Cizek of Harrisburg, PA, Lindsey Cousins (Dakota) Woodgie of Fredericksburg, VA, Krista Cousins (Daniel) Bridge of Savannah, GA, Jessica Moore (Christopher) Felix of Ellicott City, MD, Joshua Moore of Elkridge, MD, Cory (Casey Johnson) Rodgers of Lower Burrell, PA, Kyle (Paige) Rodgers of Okinawa, Japan, Stephanie and Jennifer O’Palko of Morgantown, WV; and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, Oakley and Emerson Woodgie of Fredericksburg, VA, Christopher, Jr. and Connor Felix of Ellicott City, MD, Gracelyn and Carson Rodgers of Lower Burrell, PA.
She was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of 1954.
Donna was employed for almost 47 years at the First National Bank in Coudersport through to the merger with Northwest Bank, retiring in June 2001.
Donna was also a very active member of the community. She was a lifelong member of the Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Coudersport where she served for many years as a Sunday School teacher, organist, and choir member; a member of the former Little German Band as well as the Community Band playing clarinet; also active in the Women of the ELCA on the local, Synod level, and Conference 2; attended many church-wide Triennial Conventions serving as delegate for several; also a member of the Passion Play Choir since the fifth year; a member and officer of the Central Grange (Sweden Valley #1216) since 1950 as well as an officer for the Potter County Pomana Grange; she was also a part of the Potter County Juvenile Grange who put on the Juvenile degree at the State Grange meeting in 1949 held in Kane, PA; a part of the Postal Committee heading updating the Enhanced 911 system; also served on the Potter County Extension Board from 1999 to 2007; has been on the Board of Managers for the Eulalia Cemetery since the early 1980s and has served as Treasurer since 1987 and Secretary since 2007; a member and secretary of the Office Girls Club; a Eulalia Township Auditor since 1962 as well as served on the Potter County Township Supervisors Convention Committee as Secretary for 26 years; was on the Potter County Triple A Motor Club Board until its merger; and delivered Meals on Wheels for the Coudersport Senior Center.
On Saturday, March 16, 2024, her kids held a private family Life Celebration for their beloved Aunt Donna at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, entrusted under the care of Kevin J. Dusenbury, Funeral Director/Owner, to pay respects and honor her for how much she has meant to the nieces and extended family their entire lives. Burial was in the Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
