Dolores J. Hoyt “beloved companion, mother, grandmother, sister and friend”
Dolores J. “Dee” Hoyt, 60, of Coudersport, formerly of New Hampshire, passed away in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Sunday, November 17, 1963, in Lebanon, NH, she was a daughter of William Canney and Althea Valia Canney Cilley. On July 4, 1998 in Peterborough, NH, she married William F. Hoyt, Sr, who passed away on July 4, 2009. She was the loving companion of David “Dave” Hoover.
Dee was a graduate of Penn Foster Online High School located in Scranton, PA. She was employed for most of her adult life as a caregiver in the healthcare field.
She enjoyed diamond dot art, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and word search puzzles. Dee loved animals, but her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved companion, Dave; four children, Sara M. (Isaac Battaglia) Estes of Hancock, NH, Latoya J. (Cody) Clark of Renovo, PA, Courtney A. (David) Martin of Antrim, NH and Bohanan L. “Bo” Hoyt of Jaffrey, NH; eleven grandchildren, Jaelyn, Kai, Jase, Aviana, Maisy, Sage, Levi, Ezra, Rubi, Lennox, and Cali; three brothers, Patrick (Pam) Canney, Scott Canney, and Jason Canney; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special cousin, Tina (Earl “Tonka”) Wells; and many friends, including a special friend, Chrissy Pierson.
Dee was predeceased by her parents and husband.
In keeping with Dee’s wishes, there will be no public services.
Dee’s family entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
