Dohn Hayes, 67, of Tionesta Ave. in Kane, PA passed away Thursday (July 25) at UPMC-Hamot.  Born April 30, 1957 in Ridgway, he is the son of the late Cecil and Evelyn (Hollabaugh) Hayes.  On Aug. 11, 1978, in Kane, he married Loretta Horam, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hayes had worked as a machinist for SGL Carbon in St. Marys for many years. He was a member of the First Church of God, where he was currently serving on the board, and he was a long-time member of the U.S. National Guard.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather (Adam Oakes) Smith of Kane; one granddaughter, Alia Smith of Kane; one grandson, Cole Smith of Kane; three sisters, Fern Throne and Monna Fay, both of Kane and Jan Swanson of Wilcox; two brothers, Fred Hayes of Kane and Todd Hayes of Rasselas and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Donna Siggins, a brother Forrest Hayes and an infant brother Mark Hayes.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Cummings Funeral Home on Wednesday (Aug. 7) from 3:00-4:30 p.m.  A memorial service will follow at the First Church of God at 5:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Kakish officiating.
