Dental Assistant Course Offered; Registration Deadline Extended to April 3rd
The Dental Assistant program, offered by Northern Pennsylvania Regional College’s Workforce Development Department, prepares students for entry-level positions in one of the fastest-growing healthcare professions. The program prepares learners for entry-level positions as chair-side dental assistants and covers the history of dentistry, introduction to the dental office, the legal aspects of dentistry, introduction to oral anatomy, dental operatory, introduction to tooth structure (primary and permanent teeth), the oral cavity, and other areas.
After completing the program, students will have the opportunity to take the leading/industrial recognized certification exam. NPRC will provide the necessary details for students to schedule the exam independently. Exam costs are not included as part of the program.
This course is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays, April 10 – June 12 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Education Council’s Port Allegany office. The cost is $1,299/person.
