DEANE CENTER TO HOST THE COUNTRY JAMBOREE MUSICAL REVUE THIS FRIDAY, OCT. 17 AND THE ALWAYS ABBA CONCERT NEXT FRIDAY, OCT. 24th

The Deane Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a fall concert featuring Country Jamboree this Friday, Oct. 17 and another with Always ABBA Next Friday, Oct. 24, both at 7:30 p.m. in the Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro.
Theater doors will open at 7 p.m. for each of these concerts. If available, tickets will be sold in the Deane Center lobby beginning at 7 p.m. the evening of each concert.
The Country Jamboree, a musical revue, channels the glory days of country music from heart-wrenching ballads to foot-stomping hoedowns and other classics.
The talented cast will perform songs made famous by country music legends like Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Waylon Jennings, George Strait, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Meryl Haggard, Tammy Wynette and more.
In 2011, Major McCain formed the Country Jamboree band. He included accomplished musicians he had met and performed with over the years. McCain named the group the Saddle Up All Stars Band and also selected two outstanding female vocalists.
Band members are: Buck McAllister on guitar, Luther Jackson on pedal steel guitar, Jackson Jackson on bass, Dallas Tanner on drums and Tex Baker at the piano.
The vocalists are: Major McCain, Courtney Shayne and Lady Di St. James.
Country Jamboree has it all, from the performers to cool costume changes and stage antics.

Always ABBA has played to sold-out venues across North America and is considered a high-quality tribute band to the iconic Swedish pop group ABBA. Audiences praise Always ABBA for capturing the fun, look, and sound of the original band.
Audience reviews highlight Always ABBA’s strong vocals, skilled musicianship, authentic costumes, and accurate and energetic performances of ABBA’s greatest hits, such as “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Waterloo” and others.
Experience ABBA’s timeless, original music as Always ABBA brings it to life on stage. Performing will be Canada’s finest — Michelle Truman as Agnetha Fältskog, lead vocalist; Karen Coughlin as Anni-Frid Lyngstad, lead vocalist; Chris Julke as Björn Ulvaeus on guitar, vocalist; and Mike Walmsley as Benny Andersson at the piano, vocalist; Ed Mortenson on drums, vocals; and Joel Lightman on keyboard (synthesizer), vocals.
