David E. Ross (1940-2024) of Pittsburgh
David E. Ross (1940-2024) of Pittsburgh, late of Mechanicsburg, cast off the restraints of his mortal body and triumphantly entered into the heavenly realms on November 25, 2024.
Words cannot adequately express the impact he made on the world. He lived several lifetime’s worth of career and personal experiences. Truck driver, landscaper, Director of Child Welfare, Director of Planning at Williamsport Hospital, founder of Ross Associates, management consultant to large hospital systems, attorney, friend, and father.
Many are the people who owe their careers to him. David was an exceptional listener who encouraged others to believe in themselves and achieve their highest potential. David is responsible for the careers of many professionals including nurses, lawyers, judges, and doctors. David also spent countless hours devoted to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and tirelessly helped many churches to survive and thrive. He donated his time, money, and equipment to defend and build the church. At 58 years of age, David enrolled in law school where he obtained both his juris doctorate and a masters in health law and practiced law until his retirement. He continued to spread the gospel and speak into the lives of those around him even while enduring great pain during extended stays at medical facilities.
David was an exceptional man, and he will be greatly missed.
David leaves behind his Wife Dorothy, son David, brother Wesley, sister Margi, his grandchildren, Josh (Teo) Ross, Ethan, Lauren and countless friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly and who look forward to reuniting with him and who look to his example to encourage them to successfully finish their own race.
David, you won. You got the prize. We will pick up where you left off. See you on the other side.
