Darryl E. Jackson “beloved husband, father, grandpa and brother”
COUDERSPORT, PA—Darryl E. Jackson, 58, a longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on Sunday, May 23, 1965 in Elkton, Maryland, he was a son of Charles “Chick” Boughner and Virginia Passwaters Thompson. On June 8, 2002 in Coudersport, he married Deborah S. “Debby” Yentzer, who survives.
Darryl’s greatest love was his family. He provided a loving home for his wife and family for 32 years. He loved gardening and his dogs, and was the Dallas Cowboys’ greatest fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife; three sons, John, Daniel, and Jeffrey; three daughters, Velvet, Jessica and Krista; many grandchildren; two sisters, Teia Vanhorn and Lori Shannon-Long; and several nieces and nephews.
Darryl was predeceased by his parents.
Darryl’s family is planning a Celebration of Life on a date and place to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Darryl’s name may be made to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Darryl’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
