Daniel E. Hasney, 87, of Old Kane Rd. in Wilcox, PA passed away Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 22) at his residence.
He was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Wilcox, the son of the late John and Anna (Adams) Hasney. On April 30, 1960, in Wilcox, he married Donna Rolfe, who survives.
Mr. Hasney had worked at Penn Tech in Johnsonburg for 40 years. He then worked as a consultant for Asten Johnson for 18 years. He was a life long member of the Wilcox Sportsman Club and also the Wilcox American Legion where he currently was serving as 2nd Vice Commander. He was an avid outdoorsman and gardener and he truly loved spending time at his camp.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Carl “Scott”) Cook of Ridgway and Vicky (Bryan) Punk of James City; one son Lance Hasney of Wilcox; three granddaughters, Lisa (Jeffery) Jacobs, Amy (Patrick) Pistner and Alison (Michael) Matula; a step grandson, Michael (Hannah) Punk; a step granddaughter, Melissa (Ryan) Smith; a great-granddaughter, Sidney Pistner; a great-grandson, Remy Pistner; a step great-granddaughter, Kenna Punk; a step great-grandson, Nolan Punk, and a great great-granddaughter, Addison Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joseph, Lawrence and Francis Hasney.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will take place on March 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St Anne’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Wilson, as celebrant. Burial with military honor’s will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
