Roulette—Daniel C. “Dan” Douglas, 47, of Fishing Creek Rd., passed away on Wednesday (January 31st, 2024) at home following a brief illness.
Born January 31st, 1977 in Olean he was a son of Michael Daniel and Judy JoAnn Yeaples Douglas.
Dan had resided in Connecticut, Indiana, Ohio, and Scranton prior to moving back to the local area. He spent his career in oil and water well services where he owned and operated Douglas Well Services for many years.
Mr. Douglas was an outdoor enthusiast, and greatly enjoyed camping and hiking, especially the Appalachian Trail, as well as operating a rig and welding. He was also active with the Allegany Mountain Engine and Implement Association. He was a kind-hearted loving person who would do anything for anyone.
Surviving are his maternal grandmother Beverly JoAnn Rice, his father, Michael D. (Linda Marie) Douglas of Haines City, Florida and his mother, Judy (John P.) Mix of Roulette; one son, Daniel Allen Douglas of Duke Center; a brother, Michael J. (Jennifer) Douglas of Duke Center, and a sister Amber Marie Douglas of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Lee Douglas on August 31st, 2013, his paternal grandfather, Daniel George Douglas; his maternal grandparents, Howard Fred and Greta Ault Yeaples.
There will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and time to be announced.
