Crude Oil Tank Farm Fire Lights Up The Forest Tuesday Morning

Station 5 responded to a crude oil storage tank facility fire on Tuesday 12/19/23 @ 5:58am. Upon arrival, C5 found heavy fire involving 3 tanks totaling approximately 18,000 gallons of crude oil.
Additional resources were called from mutual aid departments for foam and water due to the remote location approximately 3 miles back in the woods. Personnel on scene were able to extinguish the fire and turn the scene back over to the lease operator by 8:30am.
