Coudersport School District’s Scholarship Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, March 16 at the Coudersport American Legion
The excitement is building for the third annual Coudersport School District’s Scholarship Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, March 16 at the Coudersport American Legion. This event is sponsored through a partnership between district personnel and our local PTSA. The event provides community members with a number of opportunities to participate in providing scholarship funds for our students. Community members are invited to donate items for basket raffles or auction as well as items for the dessert bar bake sale.
The doors will be open at 4:00 PM on March 16th for anyone who wants to contribute by trying their luck with the basket and silent auction items along with 50/50 and raffle prizes. Anyone who wishes to come to dinner can purchase a buffet ticket for $30 for a single and $50 for a couple with a cash bar. Dana Daisley will be providing music throughout the evening. Parents can make a night out of this event as the CASD National Honor Society is offering childcare for a donation at the Coudersport High School.
In the last two years, a total of $ 22,438 has been raised at this event, which has been used to build a fund to maintain scholarships in the future as well as adding the following scholarships offerings for our students: Field of Education, Vocational Trade School, Carrie Austin Business Scholarship and a Direct to Work Grant. The committee also needs to fill some time slots for ticket sales at the event. Contact the business office at the school (274-0509) with any questions regarding the event or to donate any item or your time.
