LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) – A Pennsylvania man will face a 2nd degree murder charge, as the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office investigates a death at River View Lodge in Lowville.
In a press release Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to Ridge View Lodge late on the night of January 6, where they found Brandon J. Shepker, 39, of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, dead.
Shepker was found in the room he shared with Jacob M. Vanbergen, 24, also of Coudersport. The men were said to be friends. Vanbergen worked for Shepker, who owned a business in Pennsylvania, police said.
Deputies say Shepker’s injuries were “consistent with a physical altercation and strangulation.” Read more with video report…..
