Coudersport Man accused in Lowville murder pleads not guilty, held

LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) – A Pennsylvania man who is accused of murdering another man at a Lowville lodge pleaded not guilty Monday afternoon.
Lewis County Court Judge Daniel King ordered Jacob Vanbergen held on $2 million cash bail.
Lewis County Sheriff’s investigators brought Vanbergen back from Pennsylvania Monday to face the murder charge.
Vanbergen, 24, is accused of killing his friend and employer, Brandon Shepker, 39, during a fight in the room they shared at River View Lodge on Route 12. It happened during the evening of January 6. Read more……..
