COUDERSPORT & AREA LIONS ACTIVITIES
The Coudy Lions have kept busy during the winter months, continuing their weekly recycling at the Borough site. The monies collected from the donations that our citizens give plus the money made from aluminum and tin have allowed the club to continue to support our community.
Since last fall, several requests have been made for eyeglasses for adults and children. These requests were unusually more costly as the eyeglass needs were more specialized.
Our Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign last November and December proved successful, thanks to the generosity of our local citizens. New members Ron and Karen Hallett joined the fun, ringing the bell and greeting customers at the Dollar Store. A special thank you to the store for allowing us to set up out front. We raised $1000 dollars this year!!
This money stays local, going to our local region and is made available to local families during times of need, such as a fire and loss of their home.
With spring upon us, the club is gearing up for their road clean up along route 6, going west out of town.
We also plan to bring back the Strawberry Festival the first Friday in June, the day before the Marathon!! We look forward to seeing folks again as they enjoy the berries and ice cream. More on that will be posted!!
We welcome anyone who would like to become a Lion. We meet the first Monday of each month, at the Coudersport Ambulance Hall, at 5:30! Join Us!
