City Transfer Supports St. Marys Area United Way with Generous Corporate Donation
City Transfer, Inc., located at 900 Brusselles Street in St. Marys, PA, has been a cornerstone of the community since its establishment in 1923 by Frank Salter. For over 100 years, the company has provided reliable trucking services and maintained a strong commitment to giving back to the local community.
This contribution will directly support St. Marys Area United Way’s 2024 fundraising goal of $220,000. Funds raised during the campaign will be distributed to nonprofit organizations in 2025, addressing critical community needs in health, education, and welfare.
The United Way provides grants to eligible local nonprofits that meet the following criteria:
- Hold 501(c)(3) nonprofit status,
- Operate within the St. Marys Area School District,
- Align their mission with health and human welfare initiatives,
- Are registered with the PA State Bureau of Charitable Organizations or have an exemption.
Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply for 2025 funding by contacting St. Marys Area United Way at 814-781-6000 or visiting www.smauw.org. The application deadline is December 15, 2024, and grant recipients will be announced in early 2025.

- Elementary library programs in the St. Marys Area School District,
- Maintenance of the Eternal Flame in downtown St. Marys.
