MEETING MINUTES APRIL 17, 2025          SPECIAL MEETING OPEN BIDS

The April 17, 2025 meeting was called to order by AJ Plants, Chairman of Supervisors with three supervisors and Bradco representative in attendance.

Pledge of Allegiance

Bids for tractor with boom mower were opened. Bradco submitted multiple bids for several tractors ranging from $185,000.00 to $50,000. Steven Kontaxes presented bid for $35,500 for used 2010 5101 John Deere tractor with Tiger boom rotary mower. Motion to accept Bid for $35,500.

Bids were opened for Sluice pipe. Four bids were received.  Motion to accept bid from Core Main with bid of $3,891 for sluice pipe.

Quotes for cell phone were reviewed and motion to go with Verizon cell phone. Which was the least expensive, with free phone and monthly cost of 39.99/month. Motion carried.

Rebuilding of plow was discussed and no decision was made as supervisors will wait for another quote from a supplier prior to making a decision.

Motion made to rent a blower for a season at a cost of $2400.00. Should they decide to buy the blower, the purchase price will be reduced by $1,600.00.

Springs for the GMC have been purchased and will be replaced.

Motion made to get loan from JVB in the amount of $35,500.00 at tax free interest loan of 5.65% for three years to purchase tractor with boom mower.

Bills for month to date were reviewed, signed, and approved. Meeting Adjourned.

The next meeting of the Ceres Township supervisors will be held on May 6, 2025.
