Derrick City firefighter and EMT Samantha Soyke was recognized as Firefighter of the Year at the department’s annual appreciation dinner and award ceremony Saturday. Rep. Martin Causer (R-Turtlepoint) presented Soyke with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in honor of her achievement.
