Catherine A. Jordan, 82, of Ridgway, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on August 2, 1942, in Oxford, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Marson McCory.

On June 20, 1959, she married the late Ronald B. Jordan, who preceded her in death on August 1, 2014.

Catherine was known for her joyful spirit and her love of singing. Whether in quiet moments at home or gathered around the campfire with family, her voice brought happiness to all who heard it. A talented cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones, creating memories with every recipe passed down through the generations. Catherine was truly devoted to her husband and family, always putting their needs before her own. Dedicated to making everyone feel at home, she opened her heart and her home to all, ensuring that everyone who entered felt loved and cared for.  She was especially fond of spending time at camp, where laughter and stories were told among her family. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Donald Jordan and his wife Debbie of Brockport and John Jordan of Ridgway, 5 grandchildren; Chris (Dana) Jordan, Joseph Jordan, Kendall (Cody) Luchs, Kyle Jordan, and Andrew (Shannon) Wright, and 3 great grandchildren; Jackson, Emmet, and Bobby. She is also survived by a brother, Bill McCory and his wife Sarah of Highland.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Barbara Jordan.

A Memorial Service for Catherine A. Jordan will be held privately by the family.

Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.
