No Injuries In One Vehicle Crash On Rt 219 In Hamlin Twp.


Oct 11th, 2023 @ 4:15 PM (MCKEAN COUNTY, PA—District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, following a two-day jury trial at the McKean County Courthouse, Charles Michael Johnson, of Bradford, was convicted of crimes related to stealing from a Bradford man who employed him in the construction field.
Johnson was convicted of Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property. Sgt. Seth Shephard of City of Bradford Police charged Johnson after he received a report that Johnson had stolen a chop saw and cash from the man. Sgt. Shephard obtained a neighbor’s home surveillance footage that captured the crime.
Wellsville Police arrested Devin M. Frisicaro, age 28 of Randolph, NY, charging him with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (Class D Felony) and AUO 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor).
The charges stem from an incident that took place on West Pearl Street in the Village. Frisicaro was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Frisicaro was committed to the Allegany County Jail without bail. Frisicaro is due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 21st at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Eric M. Harrison, age 34, of Wellsville, charging him with a Violation of his Pre-Trial release with the Allegany County Probation Department.
Harrison was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Harrison was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 property bond or $20,000.00 partially secured bond. Harrison is due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 17th at 4:30 pm.

(MCKEAN COUNTY, Pennsylvania: October 6, 2023): District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that Donny Lee Smith of Kane was sentenced in McKean County Court in a sentencing hearing held on October 5.
SMITH was sentenced to state prison for a period of incarceration of 3 years to 6 years, 6 years of concurrent probation, and 3 years of consecutive probation. Smith was also ordered to undergo a mental health/sex offender evaluation and obtain treatment, drug and alcohol treatment, have no contact with minor children, provide a DNA sample and other terms. He was found ineligible for any early parole programs such as boot camp. The crimes require he register as a sex offender for 15 years.
