No Injuries In Hit And Run Crash On Rt. 44 In Sharon Twp.


On March 20, 2025, at approximately 1201 hrs, the City of Bradford Police Department responded to a call at Chatauqua Place regarding a reported intoxicated male. Upon arrival, officers observed the individual, identified as James White, consuming alcohol from a can. It was apparent that White was intoxicated and failed to comply with officer commands. In an effort to take White into custody for public intoxication, officers attempted to apprehend him. However, White resisted arrest, leading to a struggle. During the altercation, an officer’s Taser device was broken off of their duty vest. After a brief struggle, White was taken into custody and subsequently arraigned by Magistrate Luther.
He was remanded to McKean County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. Preliminary hearings have been scheduled in the matter. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Christine Ann (Double) Michalski, 91, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Stratford CT.

On March 29, 2025, at approximately 1339 hours, City of Bradford Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 65 Hillside Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a male and female engaged in a altercation inside the residence.
The officers quickly intervened and separated the individuals involved, ensuring the situation was brought under control. During the investigation, it was determined that the female defendant, Jillian Troy, had sprayed the male victim with lighter fluid and attempted to ignite it with a lighter, stating her intention to set him on fire. Fortunately, the male victim was able to deflect the lighter from the defendant’s hands just prior to the police arrival.
Jillian Troy was taken into custody and subsequently arraigned by Magistrate Engman. She was remanded to McKean County Jail on $75,000 straight cash bail.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled in the matter. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that a man charged with drug-related crimes in Kane in 2023 has pled guilty. Thomas ODOM, previously from Strattanville, appeared at a plea conference before a Judge at the courthouse on March 27th.
ODOM pled guilty to Possession with the Intent to Deliver (methamphetamine), Possession of Suboxone (a Schedule III drug), Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility. He was charged by Kane Borough Police after a traffic stop in the Borough. He will be sentenced in May.
