Marcia Marie Jarrett, age 67, a resident at Elk Towers in St. Marys, PA, went to be with her loved ones and her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Born on July 25, 1956 in Brookville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Amanda Lindemuth Jarrett.
Retired, Marcia had worked as a cook at many different area restaurants over the years. She was Protestant by faith, and enjoyed crocheting, crafting and especially cake decorating. Marcia also was perhaps “Tweety Bird’s” biggest fan.
Terry J. Bechakas, 91, of 100 Highpoint Dr. and previously of Dawson St. in Kane, PA passed away Sunday morning (July 30) at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born May 19, 1932 in Kane, he is the son of the late James and Aglaia (Djivelis) Bechakas. On Oct. 6, 1962, in Siatista, Greece he married Soultana Kyratzis, who survives.
Terry, along with his brother John, owned and operated the Texas Hot in Kane for many years.
He served in the US Army obtaining the rank of Corporal, and was a member of the Lt. Raymond A. Nicolas American Legion Post #250 in Kane, where he was a past Post Commander. He was a member of the Kane Elks Lodge #329 and the Kane Fish and Game Club and loved to play cards. He also was a member of the Siatista Association – USA (a Greek businessman’s Club), where he served as president for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Aglaia “Leia” (Dan) Liberatore of Centennial, CO; one brother John (Toula) Bechakas of Kane; two granddaughters, Soultana “Sara” (Jace) Baldwin of Erie and Anna Liberatore of Centennial, CO; four nephews, James (Marisa) Bechakas of Kane, Costas Bechakas of Clearwater, FL, Terry Bechakas of Kane and Mike (Heather) Bechakas of Kane and many other relatives still living in Greece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends are invited to a visitation which will take place on Thursday (Aug. 3) at 10:00 a.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 with the Rev. Father Soterios Rousakis, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Lois A. Kellogg, 86, of Shinglehouse, PA went to be the Lord, with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, N.Y., after a short illness.
Family and friends may call from 9am to 11am on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Grace Bible Independent Baptist Church, 392 Coons Crossing Road, Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 11am with Pastor Phil Seely, officiating.

Kenneth C. Hultberg, 66, of 72 Rodgar Lane, Bradford, PA passed away unexpectedly, Monday, July 31, 2023, at his residence.
Born March 31, 1957, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Carl A. and Harriette L. (Hanson) Hultberg.
He was a 1975 graduate of Bradford High School. He attended Butler Community College where he played basketball. He majored in Oil Production at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and took classes at Penn State.
On June 14, 1980, in St. Bernard Church, he married Ann (Hajdu) Hultberg who survives.
Port Allegany – Delila V. Taylor, 87, of Eldred, PA passed away Sunday (July 30, 2023) surrounded by her family at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
She was born September 28, 1935 in Shinglehouse, she was the daughter of Leon and Ethel (Riddle) Keech. On July 1, 1956, in Eldred, she married Norman C. Taylor, who passed away on July 16, 2014.
Antoinette M. “Toni” Kilhoffer, 94, of Ridgway, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born on June 3, 1929 in Ridgway, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Caggeso Viglione.
On March 12, 1953, she married the late Louis Kilhoffer, who preceded her in death on July 6, 1996. Together they were blessed with 43 years of marriage.
Mary Beth Swarner, age 64, of Sabinsville, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Born November 7, 1958 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Bea (Tally) Trego. Mary Beth married Lloyd G. Swarner, Jr., they shared 43 years together and raised six children.
She was a CNA and medical transcriptionist in Wellsboro for many years.
Donald M. Davies, 85, of Marvin Street, Smethport, PA passed away, Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Bradford Manor.
Born on April 21, 1938, in Alliance, OH, he was the son of the late Donald Earl and Cornelia (McDowell) Davies. On September 3, 1962, he married Paula Karen (Conklin) Davies, who preceded him in death on July 23, 2019.
After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy on June 19, 1956. He was stationed overseas for three years of his enlistment, and he was honorably discharged on June 24, 1960.
He helped to rebuild Camp Cornplanter after it was moved from the Kinzua Valley to Scandia. He later managed the Elk Lick Boy Scout Camp in Farmers Valley where he became the ranger in 1972 to 1983. Don later worked as a finish carpenter for Dugan & Dugan Construction in Allegany, NY.
Leon D. Sherwood, Sr., 62, of Smethport, passed away Saturday (July 29, 2023) at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.
He was born July 6, 1961 in Cuba, NY, a son of James and Shirley (Galentine) Sherwood. On April 19, 1980, at the Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Port Allegany, he married Carla J. Green, who survives.
Mr. Sherwood was a 1980 graduate of Port Allegany High School.
Leon worked for the PA Dept. of Transportation, based out of Cyclone. He retired as the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
Leon enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most of all, he loved his family and being able to spend time with them. He was a member of the Port Allegany Moose Lodge #460.

Dennis L. Hostutler, 70, of Bradford, formerly of Derrick City, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his residence.
Born on December 14, 1952, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Harold and Bonna (Chandler) Hostutler. He was a 1970 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On August 24, 1974, in Philadelphia, he married the love of his life, Angelina (DiBattista) Hostutler, who survives. Dennis worked as a butcher for Tops for over 35 years supporting his family.
We are sad to announce the passing of Dewey Drexel Leonard of Port Allegany, Pennsylvania. He died at age 74 on July 28, 2023.
Dewey is survived by his wife, Lynne who he married on April 3rd, 1976. He is also survived by his siblings Curtis, Kimberly and Greg.
Dewey was predeceased by his parents Drexel and Lily and his brother Russell. He graduated from Port Allegany High School and Pennsylvania State University.
He worked for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 37 years and until his illness as a construction inspector.

James L. ROGERS, 77, of Scio, NY, died Friday, July 28, 2023 in his home. Born November 28, 1945, in Olean, he was the son of Lyman and June Dutton Rogers. On September 17, 1965, in Scio, he married the former Beverly E. Babbitt, who predeceased him on August 3, 2004.
A graduate of Friendship High School, he was the Chief of Police in South Pekin, IL for two years, then worked for A.L. Blades & Sons in Hornell for 20 years as an equipment operator. James enjoyed playing Texas hold ‘em, doing carpentry work throughout his life, and maintaining a small farm for 45 years.
Devin K. Webster, age 23, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
He was born on March 14, 2000 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Craig and Erin (Osgood) Webster.
Devin graduated from SLTC Lineman School in 2019 and was employed by Overland Contracting of Pittsburgh, PA as a cell tower technician. Devin enjoyed riding motorcycles, having ridden motorcycles since he was seven years old.
Devin’s other hobbies included skydiving, shooting, learning to cook and the occasional pick-up soccer match. He was always ready for the next big adventure. Devin enjoyed life — having a good time, going to comedy shows, concerts, casinos and just hanging out with friends, coming up with all manner of pranks and shenanigans. He had a dry sense of humor and easy going personality. He will be missed by his family, friends and coworkers.
Dora L. (Marshall) Reese, age 63, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
She was born on March 17, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Lynn and Betty (Peter) Marshall and was the wife of the late Stephen H. Reese.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, taking care of her family and friends and her faith in God never wavered.

Maribelle M. Dunn, 90, of Coudersport, PA passed away on July 28, 2023, at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
She was born on September 14, 1932, in Farmers Valley, the daughter of the late John and Neva (Kemp) Tanner. Maribelle married Gary E. Dunn on May 1, 1951, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage, until his passing on May 20, 2007.
Theodore Louis SEELEY, III, 48, of Wellsville, NY, formerly of Belmont, peacefully ended his long battle on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in his home, going into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family.
Born December 31, 1974, in Cuba, he was the son of Theodore Louis Jr. and Roberta Donovan Seeley. On April 16, 2022, in Almond, he married the former Amber Slocum, who survives.
Deborah Janz, 68, of E. Main St. in Mt Jewett, PA passed away Tuesday (July 25) at her residence. Born Dec. 31, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, she is the daughter of the late David and Mary Louise (English) Kamer.
Debbie was a self-proclaimed hippie with a strong spiritual side who loved spending time in the outdoors and tending to her garden. An avid reader and creative writer, she enjoyed volunteering at the library and her time with the book club. She fell in love with her new community, forging friendships that brought her great happiness. For everyone who knew her, Debbie had the biggest heart and was full of love.
Richard D. Silsby of 8849 Deer Creek Road, Portville, NY passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Olean General Hospital.
Richard was born on July 23, 1975, in Olean and was the son of David A. and Alice M. Blauvelt Silsby.
Richard was a 1995 graduate of Olean High School. He then began working at Reiss Game Farm, where he worked for the past 25 years. Richard enjoyed spending time with his son and camping.
Francisca Carrio, 94, of 3979 Little John Drive, York, formerly of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Harrisburg.
Born on January 8, 1929, in Ondara, Spain, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Josephine (Crappio) Domenech.
On November 25, 1954, in Spain, she married Juan G. Carrio who preceded her in death on March 20, 2009.
During her time in Bradford, she held various jobs, including being employed at Case Cutlery, where her husband also worked.
After moving to York in 2003, she volunteered at the White Rose Senior Center for 10 years. She assisted in preparing and serving breakfast three days a week and was very proud of the fact that she was elected as “Homecoming Queen”. Francisca was a “people person” who loved nothing more than talking with someone.
Surviving are two sons, Jose (Dawn Emerick) Carrio, of York, Juan (Nadia) Carrio, of Baltimore, MD, two sisters Juanita DelVecchio, of New Jersey, Rosita McAndrew, of Pittsburgh, and one brother, Juan (Terese) Domenech, of Baltimore, MD, one grandson, David (April) Carrio, one granddaughter, Christine (Gary) Urbach, and one great grandchild, Blake Carrio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan, her brothers Luis and Antonio Domenech, her sisters Mary Roig and Josefa Bisquert, her sister-in-law Teresa Domenech, and brothers-in-law Jose Bisquert, Juan Roig, Anthony DelVecchio, and Michael McAndrew.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Avenue, Bradford, where a prayers service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Committal services and entombment will follow in St Bernard Cemetery.
