Dorothy M. Wennin, 93, of Coudersport, PA passed away at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
She was born May 21, 1929 in Keating, PA, and graduated from high school in Renovo, PA.
Early in her life Dorothy worked for Sylvania, later she worked for Green Thumb , and Futures, and then she worked with the Cancer Society.
Outside of her work, she enjoyed doing crafts and volunteering as a Cub Scouts leader and a 4H leader. Dorothy was also a member of the St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport and a 60+ year member of the Catholic Daughters.
Dorothy is survived by her son: Martin Wennin of Coudersport, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings.

Denise A. Zuchowski, 47, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, following a lengthy battle not only with cancer, but with years of addiction. She was born on October 31, 1975 in Ridgway, PA, a daughter of the late Leo S. “Butch” Zuchowski, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2005, and Mary Stevens Zuchowski, who survives of St. Marys.
On May 31, 2015, in Ridgway, she married Willard Kennedy, who survives of St. Marys. Denise was a graduate of Ridgway High School, class of 1994. She worked as a nurse’s aid at numerous places over the years, and also worked at Goodwill. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially enjoying camping. She enjoyed attending the handicapped fish rodeos, and was fond of her dog, Lucy. Denise will be remembered as a kind and giving wife, mother, sister, and daughter who had a big heart and would help anyone.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by 4 children; Amanda (Billy) Rich of NJ, Angelina “Rita” Maturano of NJ, Alexander Zuchowski of St. Marys, and Adriana Maturano of NJ; and by 1 granddaughter; Colbie. She is also survived by five siblings; Eugene Lillie of St. Marys, Robert Lillie of Butler, Mary Kay Lillie of NJ, Dagus Zuchowski of St. Marys, and Molly Zuchowski of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 2 step-children; Nico and Morgan, her paternal grandmother; Evelyn Beers of St. Marys, her best friend and constant source of support; Susan Catalano and by a special aunt; Sharon Zuchowski.

Dianne L. Kohl, 71, of 426 Water Street, Johnsonburg, and formerly of Emporium Arms, Emporium and Coudersport, PA, died early Thursday morning, February 9, 2023 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 17, 1951 in Cuba, NY a daughter to the Frances I. Truax Story and the late William C. Kottwitz. She had been married to the late Roy Washburn and the late Charles Kohl.
Dianne was a 1969 graduate of Coudersport High School and had lived most of her life in the Coudersport area and had been a member of the Sweden Valley United Methodist Church.
Dianne is survived by her son Shane M. Washburn and his wife Tonya of Johnsonburg, her mother Frances I. Story and her husband Arthur, a sister Sharon Haskins and her husband Ron of Sweden Valley and a brother Bill Kottwitz and his wife Linda of St. Marys. She will also be missed by her special cat, Bear.
She is predeceased by her father William and husbands Roy Washburn and Charles Kohl.
Funeral Services for Dianne L. Kohl will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.

Bonnie S. Orinko, 73, a resident of Barnes and formerly of Kane, PA passed away peacefully at UPMC-Hamot, surrounded by her family, on Monday (Feb. 6). Bonnie was born on Dec. 21, 1949 in Kane to the late Jack and Joyce (Spence) Bundy.
Bonnie was proud of her Mayflower and Boones Mountain heritage and loved to tell stories of growing up on the west end of Kane, where “the west end was the best end”. She also liked to tell of her ice skating abilities and her responsibilities as a school patrol member.
On Oct. 3, 1997 she married Denny Orinko, who survives. Bonnie is also survived by her children, Larry (Betty) Beimel, Tammy (Tim) Weidow, and Shawn Beimel, all of Kane, and Mary (Frank) Bernecky of Burning Well; five stepchildren, Kim (Todd) Fitch, Denise (Mike) Heckathorn, Lori (Kyle) McNeal, Stan Orinko and Theresa (Tony) Nally; Eleven grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Beimel, brothers, Robert, Jack and Mike, a grandson Jacob Bernecky and her pets Kiki and Tito.

Joyce L. Reinard, 88, of Fraley St. in Kane, PA passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at UPMC-Kane. She was born in Ludlow on Feb. 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Keller) Larson. On June 11, 1994, she married William Reinard, who preceded her in death.
Joyce was a 1952 graduate of Kane. She had worked as a waitress at many establishments including the Kane Manor and the Arcade Restaurant. She loved people and treated everyone as family. She attended Living Waters Free Methodist Church, New Beginnings Assembly of God and the First Church of God, and supported many ministries and missionaries. She enjoyed music and played the Piano, guitar, accordion, and tambourine. Joyce loved spending time with her family and she loved Dylan, her cockatoo.
She is survived by two sons, Don (Kelly) Bush Jr. of Kane and John (Carolyn) Bush Sr. of Clarendon; one daughter, Beverly (Scott) Austin of Kane; her son James’ fiancé Patricia Bigley; one stepson Robert Reinard of Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, Melissa Haight, Melanie Bush, Robert Bush, Rhawnie Barrett, John Bush Jr., Kevin Bush, Rebecca Lucas, Shelby Brennan, Riley Austin, Joseph Bush, Andrew Bush, Kayla Leet and Caleb Leet; 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son James A. Bush, one grandson Micheal P. Bush, one great-grandson John H. Bush III; her former husband and father of her children Don R. Bush Sr.; four brothers, Robert, Leonard and Keith Larson and Harold Larson in infancy and six sisters, Doris Malm, Mildred Johnson, Ruth Dillenbeck, Lucille Swedenhjelm, Martha Eastman and Betty Larson in childhood.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation which will take place at the Cummings Funeral Home on Friday (Feb. 10) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Kane, with the Rev. Harold (Harry) Eugene Blair (67) of Johnsonburg, PA sadly passed away in his home February 5th, 2023 after a little over a year’s battle with stage 4 cirrhosis.
Harry was born September 6th of 1955 in Twinfalls, Idaho to Jodie & Emma Blair. He married Renee Dawn Blair in Las Vegas, NV on April 27th, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his mother Emma Christine Blair and his father Jodie Carl Blair.
He leaves behind his wife Renee of 14 years, his sisters Emma Jo Blair and Phyllis Blair, brother Ronald Dean Blair of Emmett, ID , a son Clayton John Blair of Texas, 2 step-daughters Danielle Button of St Marys PA and Kassandra (Abraham) Gilmore of Kane PA, 2 stepsons John (Megan) Baker of Metropolis, IL and Brandon McFall of Strattenville, PA along with 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Harry was a potato farmer with his father in Idaho when he was young. He went on to serve in the United States Army from March 1977 until September 1991 where he spent 9 years active duty and repaired attack helicopters. After the army he was a truckdriver for many years with various companies. He also worked as a geothermal driller for Enlink Geothermal. He was last employed with Targeted Pet Treats in Warren, PA when he decided to take early retirement in 2018 to enjoy time with family.
Harry’s kids and grandkids were his world. He loved his dog (Ladybug) who followed him everywhere and was always by his side. He also loved seafood, fishing, gardening, tinkering with anything in the garage, and doing small engine repairs after retirement.
There will be no formal funeral services as he requested cremation. However, there will be a small celebration of life scheduled at a later date when the weather is warmer.
Della J. “Jean” Ecklund, 82, of Ridgway, PA died on Wednesday, Februarys 8, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born on June 5, 1940, a daughter of the late Daniel and Florence Sherman Sherry.
Jean was a resident of Ridgway for many years. She enjoyed going camping, sitting around the fire and listening to country music with friends. Jean had a special love for family, and enjoyed family gatherings.
Jean is survived by 5 daughters; Pamela Davidson of Kane, Christine Prechtl and her husband Mark of Ridgway, Susan Parson and her husband Jay of Ridgway, Sharon Hamilton and her husband Brian of Ridgway, Amy Piccirillo and her husband Tony of Ridgway, 2 sons; Gregory Ecklund and his wife Aloha of Ridgway and Mark Ecklund and his wife Pam of Kersey, 27 grandchildren,30 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Skerl, a great grandchild, Ronnie Jean Smith, a son-in-law, Robert Davidson, a sister, Patricia Sherry, a brother Daniel Sherry, a brother at birth, Dennis Sherry, and the father of her children, Ronald Ecklund.

Robert D. Johnson, 86, of Bradford, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Pavilion at BRMC.
He was born on July 2, 1936 in Bradford, the son of the late David and Elizabeth Iddings Johnson.
He was a 1954 graduate of the Bradford Area High School.
On August 9, 1958 in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church he married Marilyn A. Merkt; who survives.
He was a member of the BAHS Alumni Association and a former member of 50+. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and their many friends on their various road trips.
He was employed by the local oil refinery for forty six years until he retired from ARG in 2000.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Johnson of Bradford; he is also survived by one son, Gregg (Evelyn) Johnson of The Woodlands, TX; two daughters, Christine (Steven) Moyer of Bradford and Kelly (Rocky DeCasper) Frisina of Bradford; eight grandchildren, Brandon Moyer, Katie Williamson, Erica Moyer, Carley Frisina, Natalie Frisina, Nick Johnson, Shannon Johnson and Adriana Johnson and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son, Mark Johnson and one granddaughter, Sarah Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. James Gutting, senior associate pastor of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, officiating.

Launa “Lee” Branch, 83, of Meadow Lane, Port Allegany, PA passed away Tuesday (Feb. 7, 2023) in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born October 24, 1939, in Grand Junction, CO, she was a daughter of Ernest and Ella Sawer Littleton.
Launa was a resident of the area for 17 years, coming from the state of Washington. She resided with her longtime companion, Basil A. “Bucky” Freeman, who preceded her in death, June 1, 2022.
She was a graduate of Grand Junction High School, Grand Junction, CO, and attended Arapahoe Community College for two years.
She was the former CEO of Branch Construction Co., Denver CO, was a realtor in Washington, and was a self-employed bookkeeper, before her retirement.
Lee loved to fish, golf, bird watch, and was an animal lover of all sorts. She was a good artist and at a younger age, an excellent giant slalom snow skier. Most recent she enjoyed cooking & baking.
Surviving are three sons, Dace M. (Toni) Branch of Tacoma, WA, Michael L. Branch of Denver, CO, William M. Branch of Flagstaff, AZ; two daughters, Wendy L. Branch of Port Allegany, and Jill E. (Calvin) Clark of Yuma, AZ; three grandsons, four granddaughters; and a great-grand-daughter, Launa Branch.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marvin Littleton.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 12, 2023) in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. J.T. Madison, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.

Brian K. Heitzenrater, 47, of 226 Gardeau Rd., Emporium, PA passed away unexpectedly at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA on Monday night (February 6, 2023). He was born August 10, 1975 in Ridgway, PA a son of Priscilla Swesey Heitzenrater, Emporium, PA and the late Jack “Kenny” Heitzenrater. On February 14, 2003 in First Presbyterian Church, Emporium he married Melanie Jones, who survives.
Brian graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1993. He had worked at GKN, AST, Teutech and was currently working at Embassy Powder Metal in Emporium. He was an avid base guitar player and played in his church with the worship team. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Emporium. Brian enjoyed sitting around a campfire with his family and playing video games. He was always the happiest when he was at home around his wife and children.
In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two sons, Logan and Jack Heitzenrater; daughter, Zoey Heitzenrater, all of Emporium; a sister, Jamie Hanna (George), Dubai and a nephew, Leo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack “Kenny” Heitzenrater.

Kathleen M. Clark, 89, of 149 Neubert Street, St. Marys, passed away with her family by her side Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at her residence.
She was born February 21, 1933, in Emporium, daughter of the late Thomas and Julia Hout Cleary. Kathleen was a graduate of Emporium High School, Class of 1950, and had been a resident of St. Marys since 1959.
On January 22, 1955, in St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Emporium, Kathleen married the late Walter J. Clark, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2000. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage.
Kathleen is survived by three daughters: Nancy McAninch of Johnsonburg, Mary Jo Caggiano (Barry) of Ridgway, and Julia Gornati (David) of Kersey; two sons: James C. Clark of St. Marys and John J. Clark of Rathbun, PA; 11 grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin, Sarah, Nathan, Lindsay, Nick, Jesse, Alex, John, Gina, and Paul; five great-grandchildren: Bryce, Bentley, Bria, Walter, and Maisy; her sister, Mary Laughlin (James) of Emporium; and by her brother, Thomas Cleary of Emporium.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Laura Clark; and by her son-in-law, William McAninch.
Kathleen was an active member of the Sacred Heart Church. She volunteered for the bereavement luncheons, baked for the parish bake sales, helped to maintain the church as the “heavenly duster”, and was a member of the St. Anne’s Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose home was warm and welcoming to all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Theresa (Teri) Weaver, 67, of Warren, PA., died peacefully at her residence, Monday, February 6, 2023.
She was born March 2, 1955, in Oil City, PA. Teri was the daughter of the late Merle S. and Mary L. Huefner Weaver.
Teri was a Warren area resident for the past 60 years. She was a 1973 graduate of Warren Area High School.
Teri was employed for many years with the former Blair Corporation, now Bluestem, retiring November 1, 2019. She was an avid lover of dogs.
Teri is survived by her two sisters, Joyce Weaver of Warren, PA., Karen Roback and husband, David of Progresso Lake, TX., several cousins.

Robert E. Wildfire, 86, of Lovers Lane, Kersey, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 9, 1936 in St. Marys, a son of the late Alois and Lottie Benson Wildfire.
On May 5, 1956, he married the late Dianne Carlson Wildfire, who preceded him in death on January 1, 2016. Together they shared nearly 60 years of love, laughter, and happiness.
Bob was lifelong resident of the area and graduate of Kersey High School, class of 1954. He retired from Keystone Carbon Company after many years of service and was a member of the K of C. He was also a life member of the Fox Township Firemen’s Club and member of the American Legion. He served as the Treasurer for the Fox Township Ambulance for a number of years. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going for walks, and could often be found in his garden. He was a family man who cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be remembered for his kind, gentle, and sweet nature.
Bob is survived by 3 children; Cindy (Dick) FinGado of St. Marys, Nancy (Kevin) Prechtl and Karen Holtzhauser, both of Kersey; by 8 grandchildren; Ray (Sarah) Holtzhauser, Connie Mahovlich, Carrie Klein, Danielle (Harrison) Lore, Laurie (Sean) Palmer, Suzanne (Dan) Gerber, Becky Arnold, and Andy (Milo) Arnold, as well as by 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Francis, Jerome, Ralph, Carl, and Alan Wildfire, by 4 sisters; Mary Pearson, Florence Arigoni, Anna Freeburg, and Alice Wildfire, and by 3 siblings in infancy. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Edward “Ed” Brown, 81, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at The Green Home in Wellsboro, PA.
Born July 28, 1941, in Blossburg, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond and Viola (Losinger) Brown.
Ed was a Veteran having served in the United States Army. On May 22, 1964 at the Elk Run Methodist Church, he married the former Edna Owen, who survives.
Ed worked at the Westfield Tanning Company for many years. He spent his life helping others. He was a crossing guard for the school, was often seen shoveling snow for various people and churches and worked at the Recycling Center.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Edna Brown, are one son, Maynard (Sherry) Brown, Jonestown, PA; a half-brother, Edward McFall; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by a brother, Claire Brown and a sister, Juanita Piaquadio.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:00am at the Lighthouse Church in Galeton. The Rev. Brent Baker will officiate. Interment will be made in the Ulysses Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard.

James T. Lechiara, 68, of 117 Oakwood Avenue, Bradford, PA passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, with his loving wife by his side at his home.
Born September 23, 1954, in Olean NY, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary (Songer) Lechiara.
Jim was a 1972 graduate of Bradford High School. On January 26, 1973 he enlisted in the United States Army, and he served in Neckarsulm Germany. Jim was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation with 1st One Oak Leaf Cluster. He was honorably discharged on December 11, 1978.
On October 23, 1999, in Farmers Valley, he married Betty L. Lechiara who survives.
Jim was employed as a Forklift Operator at Bush Industries for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 108, of Bradford.
Surviving in addition to his wife Betty, of 23 years, are five daughters, Sherry Bradfield, of Warren OH, Menda Gray, of Bradford, Susie Driver, of Warren OH, Gidget Stone, of Pittsburgh, Tanya Graves, of Bradford, three sons, Chad Graves, of Bradford, Paul Graves, of LIttle Valley NY, and James Graves, of Bradford, 22 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Corinda Panigatti, of DuBois, Marjorie Kroah, of Bradford, and Brenda Allen, of DuBois, and one brother, John Lechiara, of DuBois. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary “Tea Cup” Nuzzo.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main Street, at 1 pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Ronnie Sampson, retired pastor of the Fresh Fire Outreach Church in Union City, officiating, followed by Military Honors at McKean Memorial Park Cemetery, by members of the United States Army and the Honor Guard from the American Legion Post 108 of Bradford.

Stephen H. Knight, 75, of 346 Water Works Road, Ridgway, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 3, 2023, at his residence.
He was born February 6, 1947, in St. Marys, son of the late Edward and Florence “Irene” Sabine Knight. Steve was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1965, and retired from Keystone Carbon Company.
On June 15, 2019, in St. Marys, Steve married Deborah L. Teeple, who survives.
In addition to his loving wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Michelle Ramos (Albert) of Texas; a son, Edward Knight (Elizabeth) of St. Marys; step-children: Karl Frederoski and Stacey Collins (Tim), both of Ridgway; seventeen grandchildren: Marina, Austin, Hustin, Brooke, Hope, Dustin, Shannon, Stephen, Logan, Alex, Caroline, Lazerol, Isabella, Timothy, William, Shawn, and Ernesto; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Judy Knight of New York and Pauline Bauer (Denny) of St. Marys; and an aunt, Rita Eckert of Ridgway.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Russell on February 17, 2022.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed shooting trap and skeet for the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club and the friendships he developed there over the years. He loved to garden and stayed active in many outdoor activities. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Evelyn M. Wilcox, 85 of Mansfield, passed away Friday February 3, 2023, at UPMC Williamsport. She was born June 16, 1937 in Blossburg, daughter of the late Mark and Viola (Butler) Putman. She married Howard F. Wilcox on June 23, 1956, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage until his passing on May 6, 2007.
Evelyn retired from the former Paper Magic Company, Troy. She attended the Cherry Flats Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, dining out with her friends, and collecting knick knacks.
Evelyn is survived by a daughter: Donna (Davis) Williammee of Mansfield; a son, Steven (Judy) Wilcox of Breesport, NY; a sister, Nancy Barrett of Stevensville; two brothers, Richard Putman of Antrim; and Ronald Putman of Florida; 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, Craig Wilcox and two brothers, Ernest Putman and Edward Putman.

Dennis E. Estes, 54, a lifelong resident of Shinglehouse, PA passed away with his brother, Doug, and his friend, Bob, by his side on Thursday, February 2, 2023, in UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport, after a long illness.
Born on Friday, July 5, 1968 in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of Richard R. “Dick” and Barbara M. Loudenslager Estes.
He was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School, Class of 1986, in Shinglehouse. Dennis served honorably in the US Army. During his lifetime he was employed as a logger, owned and operated a construction business, and also was a truck driver until he became ill.
Dennis was an extremely social person. He was the life of the party, always having a story and a joke to tell.
Surviving are a son, Mason R. (Britany Matz) Estes of Concordia, Kansas; a daughter, Taylor M. Hurrle of Eldred; two brothers, Douglas R. (Bonita) Estes of Shinglehouse and Daniel A. (Sabrina) Estes of Rincon, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including Robert “Bob” Austin of Shinglehouse, who helped care for Dennis in his failing health.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by two brothers, David E. Estes and Donald R. “Donny” Estes.
In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

Vivon L. “Wimp” Wenner, 89, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.
Born on January 23, 1934 in Tioga, County, PA, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Grace (Shephardson) Wenner.
Wimp graduated from Smethport High School, PA in 1951 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, having sailed the Seven Seas. On returning he moved to the Medina area with his late wife, the former Lettie G. (Moore) Wenner, who passed in 2002. He was employed as a welder with Harrison Radiator for 42 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Middleport Methodist Church and enjoyed his retirement years.
Wimp is survived by his three children, Donald Wenner of Batavia, NY, Vivian (Kevin) Callahan of LeRoy, NY, Vivon (Jean) Wenner II of Medina, NY, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are eight siblings, Shelba Roselli of Georgia, Barba (Danny) Paget of Johnsonburg, PA, Betty (Dave) DeGray of Arizona, Velva Norlin of Johnsonburg, PA, Beverly Wenner of Florida, Donald (Linda) Wenner of Johnsonburg, PA, Bobby Wenner of Mount Jewett, PA, Sandy (Dave) Thorwart of Johnsonburg, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Vivon is predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Richards and four siblings, Shirley Priest, John Wenner, Linda Kilhoffer and Darwin Wenner.

Howard W. JACKSON, 88, of Wellsville, NY, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 in Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wellsville, after a short illness.
Born August 13, 1934, in Wellsville, he was the son of Millard D. and Viola E. Sanford Jackson. On December 26, 1954, in Alfred, he married the former Virginia E. “Ginny” Fagner, who predeceased him on April 29, 2013.
A graduate of Wellsville High School, he was employed by Dresser-Rand in Wellsville as a machinist and then worked in the maintenance department. After retiring from Dresser, he worked for Lehman’s Lawn Care. Howard was a former member of the Genesee Valley Beagle Club and Dyke Street Hose Co. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, going to stock car races, playing bingo, picking wild berries, and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He made lots of friends while he was at Highland Park.
Surviving are: his daughter, Joan (Leslie) DaHill of Friendship; four grandchildren, Cathy Lewis, Jeffrey (Ashley) DaHill, Jennifer (Dan Stives) DaHill, and Tina (Travis) Fadjo; nine great-grandchildren, Natalie, Blake, Bryce, Rylee, Kayla, Claire, Maya, Soul, and Eli; three great-great-grandchildren, Liam, Jaxon, and Harper; a sister, Claudia Ackley of Andover; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jackson and Sandra Jackson; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Virginia, he was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Jackson; three sisters, Carol Clayson, Barbara Morrison, and Martha Hall; and four brothers, Royce Jackson, Mildred Jackson, Jr., Jerrold “Jerry” Jackson, and Alan Jackson.

Christine Brown, 78, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Reading, PA surrounded by her family.
Born March 8, 1944 in Reisterstown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Millie Sue (Roake) Cornett. She was married to Harry Brown, Sr. who preceded her in death.
Christine was a homemaker and enjoyed riding snowmobiles, gardening, going for rides in the mountains and spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons, Harry Brown, III, Ulysses, PA, Charles (Marnie) Brown, Gold, PA and Joseph (Cathi Hershey) Brown, Galeton; two daughters, Cathy (Joy Shaner) Brown, Gaines, PA and Josey (Michael) Gillis, Reading; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Dudly Cornett, Washington State; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Christine was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Brown; four brothers, Leroy, Richard, Joseph and Jimmy Cornett; and longtime companion, Franklyn Hitzel.

Sheryl L. Sirianni, 74, of Highland Rd., Kane, PA passed away peacefully on Feb. 1, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born July 11, 1948 in Kane, daughter of the late John and Alice (Irons) Chubon. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Chubon-Hall, son-in-law, Kenneth VanGiesen, and her beloved dachshund, Buddy.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Frank and their four children; Alison Sirianni of Berea, OH, Matthew (Aimee) Sirianni of Kane, Erin Sirianni of Erie and Jeanna (Adam) Blint of Portersville. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Derek, Andy, Claire, Colin, Camden, Jackson and Nora.
She was a Kane High graduate of the Class of 1966. She married her high school sweetheart in 1967 and began a 20-year Air Force journey which took them all over the world. They started their family with the birth of Alison in San Antonio, TX, followed by the birth of Matthew in Montgomery, AL. Erin was then born in Tampa, FL and Jeanna was born in Plattsburgh, NY.
Sherry was a two-time kidney transplant recipient, with her first transplanted kidney at the age of 22 donated by her mother, Alice. That kidney lasted over 40 years. Her second transplanted kidney was donated by family friend, Ron Duffley.
She was a proud stay at home mother. In her years, she held various jobs around Kane, such as, Quality Markets, IU9, Head Start, Roma Gardens and running an in-home day care. She was the owner of the Ivy Cottage and loved holding craft classes and selling at craft shows. She was active with her daughters in Girl Scouts, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, and the local Red Hats Society.
In her retirement years, she and Frank enjoyed traveling the United States and Canada in their RV, visiting all but two states in the US. Sherry had a love for Mexican food and loved stopping for a meal whenever she had the chance.

Michael Edward Emer, age 37, of James City, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Michael was born in James City on May 12, 1985, the son of Sally Ann Emer and the grandson of Lois and the late Edward Emer.
Michael attended Kane Area High School and Graduated from Triangle Tech. Mike had various jobs throughout the years, currently employed at Marty Niklas Logging. It is said that he would “give the shirt off his back” and was always willing to help others when needed. Mike greatly enjoyed listening to music and was a huge sports fan, especially following the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, and of course Kane Wolves. Sports being one of the many things that bonded Mike with his shadow, Arlo. You couldn’t walk around town without seeing them greeting and talking to every soul who walked by. Arlo was Michaels entire world.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sally (Brad Hillman) Emer of Cranberry Township, his brother, Kyle (Lacey) Paup of LaVale, MD, his sister Brooke Balliet of Kane, his brother Hunter (Hannah) Balliet of Saxonburg, his grandmother Lois Emer of Kane, and the joy of his life, his son, Arlo Emer. Survivors also include his uncles Cy Emer and Bob (Joy) Emer. Others that were part of Mike’s life include, Lea Brown (mother of Arlo) and her daughter, Layla, former step-grandparents Tom (Alice) Balliet, Janet (Barry) Ewing and former step-father, Doug Balliet. Cousins include, John, Allison, Olivia Emer and nephews, Sebastian and Graham Paup.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Emer and his aunt, Brenda Emer.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

OLEAN – Geraldine L. Monroe, of The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, of Olean, formerly of Aspen Towers, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2023).
Geraldine was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Shinglehouse, Pa. and was the daughter of Ferdinand and Naomi Green Cross. On June 16, 1950, in Wellsville, she married Lawrence F. Monroe Sr.. who predeceased her June 21, 1970.
Geraldine was a 1947 graduate of Bolivar Central School.
She was a member of the Olean Community Evangelical Church. Geraldine was a cashier and office manager at Loblaws for 37 years.
She was a member of the UFCW and enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, working and spending time with her family.
Geraldine is survived by her two children, Kerry E. Monroe of Allegany and Patricia A. Lyman of Olean; six grandchildren, Eric (Nicole) Bailey, Steven Bailey, Alicia Bailey, Lawrence (Jasmine) Monroe, Joshua (Emily) Monroe and Emily Monroe; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl (Margaret) Cross of Wellsville; brother-in-law, Floyd Merriam of Houghton; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Lawrence, Geraldine was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Elizabeth Lawton and Betty J. Merriam; and her granddaughter, Laura Bailey.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 4, 2023) at the Olean Community Church, 145 S. 26th St., Olean, at which time a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Bryan Garrett will officiate.

Howard F. “Hooper” Bajor, 84, of Austin, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home.
Howard was born on March 7, 1938, in Glen Gardner, NJ the son of the late Felix and Elin (Gudmundson) Bajor. February of 1961, he married the former Dorothy Hoagland and they celebrated 59 years of marriage until her passing on December 4, 2020.
Howard worked many years as a self-employed logger. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1961-1963 in Korea in the K9 unit. After retirement he worked for the Potter County Jail as a guard for 10 years. Howard was a founding member of the Austin Dam Association, and was a member of the Austin Vets Club, Trout Unlimited, and Healing Waters. He was active with the Austin Boy Scout Troop 524. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and was an active bow hunter in the early days of the sport.
Howard is survived by a son, Steven (Melanie) Bajor of Emporium; a grandson Eric (Natalya) Orsich of Duluth MN; and a brother, Robert (Darlene) Bajor of Easton. In addition to his wife and parents, Howard was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Bajor.
