Roger D. Grover, 63, of Smethport, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, February 24, 2023, after a lengthy illness.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Rogers’ Life on Saturday May 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the pavilion at Hamlin Lake in Smethport, with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.

Gildo R. Torchia, age 83, of Wilcox Road, Johnsonburg, PA, died May 7, 2023 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a lengthy illness. A son of the late Frank and Josephine (DiNardo) Torchia, he was born on June 27, 1939 in Ridgway, PA. On June 13, 1970 he married Georgia (Newell), who preceded him in death on September 29, 2018.
Gildo is survived by: two daughters, JoAnn (Michael) Fitch of Duncansville and Georgann (Cory) Barnett of Johnsonburg; five grandchildren, Maddison (Niels vanBeusekam) Fitch, Reghan and Trent Fitch and Sydney and Justin Barnett; and a sister, Serafina (Richard) Alo of Houston, TX.
Besides his wife and his parents, Gildo was predeceased by: a sister, Sister Francis Dominic Torchia, SSJ (Theresa).
Gildo was a 1957 Graduate of Johnsonburg Area Schools, attended the Clarion State Teachers College and received his Masters in Education from West Virginia University. He had served as a High School Math Teacher in Bradford, Cameron County and St. Marys Schools. For over forty five years he was the Owner/Operator of the J.R. Duke DiNardo Paving Company, retiring in 2016. He lived all his life in Johnsonburg. He was a founding member of ELCAM; former Borough Council Member; and past president of the JC’s.
Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and also on Saturday, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg, with Father David Wilson, celebrant.
Interment will take place next to his wife in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Holy Rosary Church(Painting Fund) or the Johnsonburg Library, and will be accepting online condolences at the Ubel Funeral Home website(www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com).
Steven S. “Steve” Unangst, 52, of Roulette, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in UPMC Wellsboro.

Ronald J. Bethel, 77, of Smethport, passed away Saturday (May 6, 2023) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
He was born April 19, 1946 in Newton, NJ the son of Charles and Muriel (Sterbinski) Bethel. He is married to Marilyn (Whritenour) Bethel.
Mr. Bethel worked in manufacturing at Howmet Aerospace and served in the US Navy.
He loved his home in the Pennsylvania woods, and the mountain man lifestyle. He and Marilyn enjoyed participating in reenactments throughout the state.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons Michael (Amy Hotchkiss) Bethel of Lompoc CA. and David Bethel (Gabrielle Gilbert) of White Salmon WA. Also, 2 step children Sue Johansson Sussex NJ, and Randy Gormley of Pocono PA, and several grandchildren.
Mr. Bethel was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Stephen Bethel.
At Ronald’s request there will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be in the Clermont Cemetery

Clayton Theodore “Ted” Gross, 73, of the Emery Towers, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 10, 1950, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Clayton E. “Gus” and Jean K. (Whitmire) Gross.
Ted was a 1968 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
He was employed at Quaker State, Haliburton, Owen-Illinois. Prior to his retirement he was the owner, operator, and driver of a tractor trailer for over the road trucking.
Surviving are four sons, Timothy (Heather) Gross, of Clearwater, FL, Todd (Amy) Gross, of Bradford, Thomas (Stacey) Gross, of Bradford, and Scott Hirst, of Sherburne, NY, one daughter, Allison (Rex) Santon, of Manhatten, KS, one sister, Sharon Work-Grice, of Bradford, one brother, Jack Gross, of Bradford, and several grandchildren.
A Celebration of Ted’s Life will be held at a later date this summer.

Randal G. “Randy” Simbeck, 66, of Glen Hazel, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Penn Highlands Elk surrounded by his family following a brief illness.
He was born on April 5, 1957 in St. Marys, a son of the late Harold “Rudy” and Rita Wendel Simbeck.
Randy was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of St. Marys High School, class of 1975. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. A true American patriot, Randy served in the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country from 1975-1979. He has been a dedicated and longtime member of the St. Marys Servicemens Burial Detail, where he also served as past president. Armed with great skill and talent, Randy spent many years working as a carpenter. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his kids. He also loved Jeeps, was an avid country music fan, and had a special love for his service dog, Cash. Most of all, he adored his grandchildren, and was over the moon with his newest grandson, Wyatt. With an endless smile, an ear always willing to listen, and a friendship you knew was true, Randy will be deeply missed by many, having touched the lives of many.
Randy is survived by three children; Amy Simbeck of Florida, Justine McKinnon and her husband Ryan of Florida and Aaron Simbeck and his wife Sophia of St. Marys; and by his six beloved grandchildren; Maddox, Harper, Reagan, Jackson, Addison, and Wyatt. He is also survived by one brother; Ronald (Denise) Simbeck of St. Marys and by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a son in infancy; Jason Scott Simbeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Randal G. Simbeck will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street. St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Thomas Curry, OSB, as celebrant. Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemens Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Floyd H. Stahl, Jr., 92, of Shinglehouse, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born on Saturday, November 8, 1930, in Harrisburg, he was a son of Floyd H. Sr. and Charlotte Weis Stahl.
After graduating from high school, Floyd served honorably in the US Marines. After his service to his country, he was employed as a photolithographer, laying out pictures in magazine articles.
Surviving are three daughters, Constance L. (Terry) MacNeill of Landenberg, Nancy A. (Kevin) Bradshaw of Marietta, California, and Jean S. Stahl of Placentia; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Floyd was predeceased by his parents.
Private graveside burial services will be held in the Bell Run Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

Kris L. King, 60, of 1085 Water Street Extension, Johnsonburg, PA passed away early Thursday morning, May 5, 2023 at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 26, 1962 in Warren, PA a son to Elizabeth Steudler King and the late Marlin King. On October 7, 1983 in Johnsonburg, he married Valerie Krise and she survives.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Kris was a 1980 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. Kris was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg. He loved spending time with his family, took pride in his home and property and tinkering in his garage. He especially took pride in decorating his home and grounds for the holidays
Kris had worked for Paper City Transfer for the past 12+ years. He had also worked for Mountain Metal, St. Marys and Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill.
Kris is survived by his mother Elizabeth King of Johnsonburg, his wife Valerie King at home, daughters Jennifer (Joshua) Blose of Brockport, NY and Emily (Bryan) Geer of Johnsonburg and grandchildren Gracie and Elijah Blose and Cyrus and Addyline Geer. He is also survived by a brother Gene King of Jamestown, NY.
In addition to his father, Kris is predeceased by a brother Joseph King and a brother in infancy.
A Funeral Service for Kris L. King will be conducted at St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11 with Rev. Aurdra Ferguson, Kris’ niece, Pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin, OH as celebrant. Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Lois A. Miller, 94, of 540 South Kendall Avenue, Bradford, PA passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 4, 1929, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Emory and Elsie (Milliron) Palmer. She attended Bradford Area Schools.
On November 1, 1947, in the Bolivar Drive Nazarene Church, she married Perry E. Miller, who survives. They celebrated their 75 wedding anniversary last November.
Lois was a homemaker, and baby sitter for many area families.
She enjoyed cooking, baking pies, especially apple pies, and loved the Lord and her family.
Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Perry, one daughter, Julia (Terry) Jackson, of Bradford, two sons, Donald (Sabra) Miller, of Columbiana, OH, Randall (Paula) Miller, of Bradford, five grandchildren, Gene Miller, Mark Jackson, Amy Yeager, Sarah Miller, and Chris Santangelo, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Jeremy Miller, three sisters, and one brother.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., where at Noon funeral services will be held with Rev. Terri Niver, pastor, First Wesleyan Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Limestone Cemetery.

Veronica Frances Ferragine, 97, of 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, PA passed away Thursday morning, May, 4, 2023 at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys following a brief illness.
She was born on April 2, 1926 in Johnsonburg, the youngest of ten children to the late Stephen and Grace Scrivo Vavala. On August 23, 1958 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Anthony F. Ferragine. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2020.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, she was a 1944 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and had been a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and the CD of A. She was also a member of the Marie Jose Lodge. She had also been a lunchtime volunteer at ECCHS for many years when her children were students at the school. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and during summer at the camp at the dam, always looking for someone to play 500 with. She loved trips to the casino and her own and everyone else’s pets.
Veronica had worked at Stackpole in Johnsonburg. Along with her husband Anthony, in 1962, they pooled their resources, financial and physical, to purchase the Penn Club and open the Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home. She worked in many capacities there for many years.
Veronica is survived by her children, Gemma Ferragine and her husband Gary Palm of Raleigh, NC, Frank Ferragine and his wife Sherrie of Johnsonburg and Veronica Pierce of Ringwood, NJ and her grandchildren Amanda Palm and her husband Josh Williams, Mary Palm, Samantha, Mrs. Kyle Yurkiewicz, Anthony “Joey” Ferragine and his fiancé Abby Owen, William “Luke” Ferragine and his fiancé Emily Miller, Rebecca Pierce, Matthew Pierce and Stephen Pierce. She is also survived great-grandchildren Josephine “JoJo” Williams and Grayson Yurkiewicz and Hayden Yurkiewicz due in June.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Veronica is predeceased by brothers Salvatore “PeeWee” and Bruno “Nibe” Vavala, sisters Helen Tassone, Marian Dellaquila, Rose Damore, Brunina Tripodi, Josephine DeFiore, Givanna “Jenny” Francis and Margaret “Margie” Occhiuto and a son-in-law Mark L. Pierce.

Donald I. Keller, 93, of Senior Commons at Powder Mill, York, PA formerly of Emporium, PA passed away at Senior Commons at Powder Mill, York, PA on Wednesday night (May 3, 2023). He was born July 23, 1929 in Renovo, PA a son of the late Russell W. and Mable Nesman Keller. On April 22, 1955 in Emporium, PA he married the late Carol Elaine Rigby Keller.
Don served, for two years with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporium and the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221, VFW. He worked for Johnson’s Auto Sales as a mechanic and for the Cameron County School District for 26 years in the maintenance department. He was a deer hunter from the age of 9 years old. Knew the local woods and trails like the back of his hand. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family.
He is survived by a daughter, Kay A. Sullivan, York, PA; son, Donald R. (Karen) Keller, Glen Arm, MD; six grandchildren: Mandy (Priest) Arnold (Sean), York, PA/Progresso Mexico, Sean Ryan (Gina) Sullivan, Dallastown, PA, Jack Keller, Raleigh, NC, Haley (Keller) Cole (William), Elizabethtown, NC, David Keller and Cassandra Keller, Emporium; four great grandchildren: Allison, Colin and Evan Sullivan, Axel Moate.
In addition to his parents and wife Don was preceded in death by a son, David A. Keller and two sisters, Eileen Miller and Patricia McGregor.
Funeral Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 306 S. Spruce St, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (May 9, 2023) at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Andrew P. Spore, Pastor, officiating. A Military Service by the Cameron County Memorial Detail will follow the service. The family will receive friends at Church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be in the Gilmore Cemetery, Austin, PA.

Donald W. Fleming, 93, of 600 Church Street, St. Marys, PA, passed away peacefully following a brief illness with his family by his side Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born August 6, 1929, in St. Marys, son of the late Patrick J. and Genevieve Hanes Fleming. Donny was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1947, and a committed member of his community.
On December 27, 2014, in Sacred Heart Church, Donny married Elaine Hoehn, who survives.
Along with his loving wife, Donny is survived by his sister-in-law, Doris Pasquinelli of St. Marys; his brother-in-law, Jerome Hoehn of Trafford, PA; several nieces and nephews; his close friend and nurse, Stephanie Hetrick; and the Pasquinelli siblings: Amy (Joel), Julie (Kiel), Emily (Jason), and Brian (Cathy), to whom Donny was a second father. He was affectionately known to them as “Uncle D” and was an active part of their lives after the death of their father, Tony, in 1989. He loved them as his own, as well as their eight children.
In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Dixon and his three brothers: Patrick, Thomas, and Richard Fleming. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Donny was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a forward observer in the artillery during the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Silver Star.
He was co-owner of Metco Industries and Pro-Process and former owner and president of B&R Electric Company.
Don over the years has served on so many boards and donated to so many causes, it is hard to name them all. At an early age, he was a boy scout leader, member of the Order of the Arrow, and later recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. He was a former board member of Christ the King Manor, Cleveland Clinic, Boys and Girls Club, and the United Way to name a few. For 50 years he was on the board and witnessed its evolution from Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital to Penn Highlands Elk. He was an original member of the St. Marys Water Authority and a former chairman of the St. Marys Republican Party. He was Trustee of the A. J. Palumbo Foundation, an original Trustee for ECCHS, and chairman of the Community Nurses for 35 years. He was the recipient of two Papal awards and donated property for the Dickinson Center’s future building in St. Marys.
He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with Monsignor Charles Kaza, celebrating and the Rev. Arthur A. Hensel, 92, of Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of Galeton, PA and Amherst, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023.
Born February 12, 1931 in Galeton, he was a son of the late Albert and Amber (Sharpe) Hensel.
Arthur was a Veteran having served in the United States Army and fought valiantly in the Korean War. He was a Sergeant in the Army Infantry and fought on the front lines. He was a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed traveling and playing pool.
He was also an animal lover, especially dogs. Surviving are his loving companion of 23 years, Phyllis Trietley, Tonawanda, NY; six children, Mary Sheila (Joseph) Neddy, Surfside Beach, SC, Sandra Hoellig, Durham, NC, Richard (Sue) Hensel, Romulus, NY, Francis (Kellie) Hensel, Lockport, NY, Mark Hensel, Surfside Beach, SC, and Eileen Hensel, Surfside Beach, SC; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Patricia Hensel, Niagara Falls, NY; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the four children of his former predeceased companion, Betty Stadler, Richard, Sue, Chris and Lisa. In addition, Arthur was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Paul Hensel and a sister, Evelyn Pletcher.
Friends may call at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Galeton, PA on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00am. The Rev. Chris Wheeler will be the Celebrant. Interment will be made in the Germania Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard.

Walter B. “Bud” Johnson, Jr., 91, of Smethport, passed away Monday (May 1, 2023) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport.
He was born March 26, 1932 in Smethport, the son of Walter B. Johnson and Geraldine Kiser Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Smethport Area High School Class of 1951 and worked as a mechanical draftsman with his last employment being with St. Marys Carbon Plant, St. Marys, PA.
He was a longtime member of the Odd Fellows. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and gardening. He was also an avid Square Dancer for many years.
He is survived by:
Three daughters: Kathrine J. (Chris) Carlson of Clermont, Cynthia L. Johnson and Erica N. (Eric) Tanner, both of Smethport
Three sons: Walter B. “Ben” (Laura) Johnson, III of Duke Center, Michael K. (Jacki) Johnson of Clarksburg, TN and Paul (Barbara) Babcock of Kendallville, IN
Sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren
And several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Marlene Loucks Brown, one brother, Kenneth Johnson, as well as three infant sisters.
At Bud’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.

Marlene KOLTHOFF, 70, of Chalfont, PA, formerly of Ulysses, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 9, 2023 in her home.
Born February 28, 1953, in Berea, OH, she was the daughter of Alvin and Frances Andrews Kolthoff.
Marlene devoted her life to caring for her family.
Surviving are: five children, Heather (George) Klitsch, George Tanner, Elizabeth Tilley, Christine (Roger) Smith, and Erin Crowell; five grandchildren, Michael, Aurelia, Aaron, Josiah, and Grace; a brother, Alvin (Nora) Kolthoff; two nieces, Jackie Kessler and Jennifer Pappas; and two fur babies, Bear and Kira.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Frieda, Lorali, and Greta; and a son-in-law, Bruce Tilley.

Angeline L. Gradizzi, 93, a resident of Highland View Health Center and formerly of Toby Road, Kersey, PA passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Highland View.
She was born June 10, 1929, in Jerome, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Benini Cilladi. Angeline attended Horton Township Schools and was formerly employed at St. Boniface School and Fox Township Elementary School.
On November 22, 1952, at Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp, Angeline married the late Silvio Gradizzi, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1985.
Angeline is survived by three daughters: Irene Coder (Guy) of Toby, Carol Klaiber (Mike Neubert) of Kersey, and Barbara Curley (Doug) of Port Matilda; a son, James Gradizzi of Williamsport; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Theresa Marie Cilladi of Brockway; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Angeline was preceded in death by three brothers: Louis, Raymond, and Silvio Cilladi. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Angeline was a member of the St. Boniface Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She was part of the auxiliary for the Dagus Mines American Legion and was involved with the Elk County Fair. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and crocheting. Faith and family were most important to her. There was nothing more precious to her than spending time with her family, especially over the holidays.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Kevin Holland, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the St. Boniface Gathering Space on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Mary A. Winner, 88, of 175 Constitution Avenue, Bradford, PA passed away, Tuesday May 2, 2023, at UPMC Hamot, in Erie, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Benevento, Italy on November 27, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Antimo and Ada (Ricciadi) Bagnoli.
She was a 1952 graduate of St. Bernard School in 1952.
On August 29, 1953, in St. Francis Church, she married Paul H. Winner who preceded her in death on June 16, 2011.
Mary worked at Dresser Manufacturing, W. R. Case Cutlery, and later as a transportation aide at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Orakettes at the Orak Grotto.
Mary’s greatest joy in life was her children and their families. She loved to cook and was happiest around the holidays when everyone would gather to eat.
Surviving is one daughter, Kelley (Millard Taylor) A. Housler, of Bradford, three sons, David (Olivia) P. Winner, of Bradford, Gary (Sherry) A. Winner, of Erie, and Bill (Lisa) J. Winner, of Cranberry, eleven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two nieces, Kathy Verbocy and Pam Siffrinn, and one nephew, Patrick Deasey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, and one sister, Ann Deasey.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from Noon to 2:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main Street, where funeral services will be held at 2:00pm with Pastor Steven Beatie, of the Pentecostal Church in Olean, officiating. Sandra D. DAVIS, 65, of Alma, NY, died Monday, May 1, 2023 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.
Born April 12, 1958, in Hornell, she was the daughter of Kenneth R. and Beatrice Teribury Geffers.
On March 17, 1990, in Wellsville, she married Charles R. “Chuck” Davis, who survives. A 1977 graduate of Belmont High School, she was employed by AMES, Wellsville Manor, and Allegany County ARC.
Sandy enjoyed quilting and was part of a local group, sewing, baking, camping, bonfires, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving besides her husband, Chuck, are: four children, Josie (Kelly) Cross of Alma, Daniel (Heather) Stoll of Stannards, Shawn (Andrea Clancy) Stoll of Wellsville, and James (Cassie Whitney) Davis of Wellsville; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Austin of Bolivar and Judy Mattison of Wellsville; four brothers, Daniel Mullen of Wadsworth, James (Betty) Geffers of Leesburg, TX, Larry Geffers of Wellsville, and Raymond Geffers of Wellsville; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Charles R. Davis, Jr. on April 29, 2007; two sisters, Mary Lynn Geffers and Margaret Giblin; three brothers, Joel Geffers, Calvin Geffers, and Kenneth L. Geffers; and two brothers-in-law, Calvin Mattison and Claude Austin.

Barbara L. “Snookie” Morgan, 79, of Smethport, PA passed away Monday (May 1, 2023) at UPMC-Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
She was born July 12, 1943 in Bradford, the daughter of Harold Benjamin and Ellen Anderson Benjamin. On November 13, 1965, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married James L. Morgan, who died April 29, 2014.
Barb was a graduate of Smethport Area High School. She first worked for Corning in Bradford, from where she retired, then for the fair association. She then worked in the cafeteria at the Smethport Elementary School for years before retiring again.
She was a former member and secretary of the McKean County Fair Association. Snookie loved her animals, both large and small. She always had dogs with her and the farm was abundant with animal life.
She is survived by:

One sister: Sarah Benjamin of Smethport
Three brothers: Phillip “Cricky” Benjamin of Smethport, George Benjamin of Eldred and Harold “Sonny” Benjamin of Erie, PA

Patricia Ann Grubbs, 76, of Warren, Pa, passed away on Friday April 28, 2023, in West Penn Hospital, after an extended illness, with her devoted husband by her side.
She was born in Warren, PA, on February 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Edward and Jean Klenck Jackson. Pat was a graduate of Warren Area High School Class of 1965. After high school she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps., serving during the Vietnam War. After her time in the military, she returned home to Warren, PA. Pat enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking, baking, and loved going to garage sales. She was a devoted fan of the Warren Dragons Football Team, attending games regularly or listening from home on the radio. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Pat in her earlier years volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, and volunteered for C.A.S.A. She was also a member of the Warren American Legion Post 135.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband Raymond D. “Bink” Brzezinski, whom she married in Warren on March 31, 2010; four children Lee E. McFarland (Julia) of Girard, PA, Heather K. McFarland of Clarendon, Pa, Marla J. McMeans of GA, and Amanda J. Deming (Lauren) of CA; stepchildren R. Tyler Brzezinski (Sherry) and Kera Coleson (Corey) all of Youngsville, PA; nine grandchildren Kendra, Lisa, Samantha, Ashlyn, Devin, Derek, Camden, Ella, Brantley; numerous great grandchildren; special friend, Anissa and her two children Ava and Macy. Pat is also survived by her two loving dogs’ “COCO” and “Diogee”.
