Dolores “Dee” Crosby Burlingame, 94, of Route 120, Emporium, PA passed away at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Sunday morning (December 11, 2022).
She was born May 1, 1928 in Youngsville, PA a daughter of the late Ivan and Rachel Coleman Crosby. On October 12, 1947 in Emporium she married the late Leo Wiliam “Bill” Burlingame.
As a child, Dolores lived in several places such as Pittsfield, Youngsville, Driftwood, Canisteo New York, with various family members as her father sought work due to the depression. She was the flower girl for her father and new stepmother Lillian Nordberg, and came to live with them in Emporium when she was 12 years old. Dee graduated from Emporium High School in 1946.
Dee worked at the Chat & Chew Restaurant, at Sylvania on the production line, and later owned Dee’s General Store in Truman for over 25 years.
Dee would describe herself as a helper as a foster parent, the neighborhood mom, election board worker, 4-H leader, Cub Scout Den mother, Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. She and her husband Bill encouraged and supported all six children in every activity and interest they pursued, including rescuing all types of wildlife. Their home became the community center for all the Truman children. Dee’s store was known as the meeting place for all folks young and old where the coffee was always hot.
Dee was a member of the Truman Community Church, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and later the Methodist Church on Moore Hill. She held several offices in the Democratic party until recently changing to non-affiliation. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Youngsville. She and husband Bill along with some of their kids enjoyed dancing and were members of the Alleycats square dance group for many years. She supported the Cameron County Ambulance and Fire Department, the Arbor Day Foundation, the Worldwide and National Wildlife Foundations.
She is survived by a five sons, Rod Burlingame (Jeanie), Reynoldsville; Dave Burlingame, Emporium; John “Greg” Burlingame (Cassie), Emporium; Les Burlingame (Janie), DuBois; Scott Burlingame (Nicky), Weedville; one daughter, Raeanne Burlingame, Emporium; 20 Grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Michael Lutheran; daughter-in-law, Vicky (Emery) Burlingame; two brothers, Lynn and Harlow Crosby; stepmother Lillian; half sister, Diane Kuchenbecker; 3 half brothers, Gary, Allan, and Paul Crosby.
There will be No Visitation at Dee’s request, but rather remember that “My celebration of life was my 90th birthday party when I saw so many of my friends and family having fun with me and Mickey Mouse who is 14 days younger than me.” A gathering of friends and family will be at the Moore Hill Church in May, followed by burial in the Sanford Cemetery, Truman

Florence N. “Nancy” Shuey, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys and formerly of Silver Creek Terrace and First Avenue, Johnsonburg, died early Sunday morning, December 11, 2022 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born on January 2, 1931 in Johnsonburg, a daughter to the late Joseph J. and Veronica Dworsky Zelechoski. On October 7, 1953 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married William T. “Bill” Shuey. He preceded him in death on October 15, 1996.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Nancy was a 1949 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She had recently traveled the Middle East and Europe visiting Kuwait, Lebanon and Poland as well as other countries. She loved spending time with her family and her many grand and great-grandchildren. Nancy loved to play cards and make visits to the casino.
Nancy enjoyed being a homemaker, and had worked at many local grocery and neighborhood stores over the years including Deibler’s in Wilcox, “The Polish Store”, Notarianni’s, the Comet and Nelson’s.
Nancy is survived by her children; William J. Shuey and his wife Donna of Johnsonburg, Joseph T. Shuey of Johnstown, Janet, Mrs. Andrew Redmond of Ridgway and Diane, Mrs. Bart Szymanski of Rasselas. Nancy is the grandmother of Carrie, Jamie, Sara, Ginny, Kelly, Jenna, Katie, Andrea, Alex, Robert, Adam, John, Billy, Matthew and Michael and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Erma Zelechoski.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy is predeceased by a great-grandson Nathan Singer, brothers; Edward, Stanley, Steven and Robert Zelechoski and sisters; Mary Ann Stewart and Agnes Zelechoski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence N. “Nancy” Shuey will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at 10 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as Celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Lee E. Gausman, 79, died December 8, 2022, at UPMC Hamot after suffering a massive stroke. He was born on February 22, 1943 in Kane to the late Francis and Mary Gausman. On June 7, 1969, he married Nancy Jean Smith, who survives.
Lee was a 1961 graduate of Kane High and grew up working alongside his father as a mechanic at Gausman’s Garage. He developed an interest in welding and was largely a self-taught fabricator. Lee eventually took over the garage and grew his fabricating business, working mostly on log trucks. He was also a beloved school bus contractor and driver for many years. A jack-of-all trades, Lee could fabricate most anything and fix almost everything. He had many fond memories of the friends he made over the years at the garage,
An avid outdoorsman, Lee enjoyed hunting, bench-rest shooting, and fishing on Chautauqua Lake. He spent much of his time in the summer at his cottage on Loomis Bay. In his later years, Lee and Nancy spent winters near South Padre Island, Texas, where they enjoyed the nice weather and time with their dogs. He was a life-long member of St. Callistus Church and the Kane Fish and Game Club. Lee was a kind and generous man and well-respected in the Kane community.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Roger (Emily) Gausman of Warren, David (Shelly Timpano) Gausman of Kane, and a daughter, Mary (Bert Cleer) Gausman, also of Kane. He has five grandchildren: Jack Jones, Noah Gausman, Kallee Gausman, Aaron Gausman, and Andy Gausman. He also has two step-grandchildren, Seth Woolcock of State College and Austin Woolcock of Curwensville. He also has a surviving stepbrother, Jim Mague.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Robert Mague of Kane.
Viewings will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM at the Cummings Funeral Home, Greeves Street in Kane. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Callistus on Wednesday, December 14 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski and the Rev. William O’Brien, as celebrants. Interment will follow in St. Callistus Cemetery.

Donna Marie Dugener, age 78, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her home in Muskegon.
She was born in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania on April 8, 1944 to Theodore and Naomi (Ryan) Klawuhn. Donna was married to Thomas Dugener for 13 years prior to his death in 2017.
She was employed as the store manager for the Admiral Petroleum Co. in Whitehall for 11 years prior to her retirement.
Donna enjoyed trips to the casino, watching crime shows, had a strong faith, and loved God.
She is survived by five children, Marie Nunley of Oklahoma, Phillip (Jill) Green Jr. of Kane, PA, Carla (Leon) Sherwood of Smethport, PA, Elaine (Jeff) Ostrander of Port Allegany, PA, and Henry (Cheryl) Kephart of Michigan; 5 stepchildren; and many grandchildren.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Harold A. “Whitey” Pistner, 81, of West Theresia Road, St. Marys, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Pinecrest Manor.
He was born on May 16, 1941 in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Harold C. and Martha M. Keller Pistner.
On October 9, 1963, at St. Boniface Church, he married Carolyn Young Pistner, who preceded him in death on March 25, 2016. Together they shared more than 52 years of marriage.
Whitey was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from the family owned and operated business, St. Marys Box Company. He loved nothing more than taking a ride around the county, often stopping to visit his kids after work. He also loved his Sheltie dogs, Lady and Hazel.
He is survived by 3 children; Nancy (Keith Wehler) Pistner of St. Marys, Daniel (Missy) Pistner of St. Marys, and Timothy (Christine) Pistner of Kersey; by six grandchildren; Allison (Kyle), Courteney, Kendra (Paul), Mitchell (Kristina) Kyle, and Zachary and by two great-grandchildren; Kameron and Kya. He is also survived by four siblings; Margaret “Peg” Pistner of Bradford, William (Millie) Pistner of St. Marys, Thomas Pistner of St. Marys, and Steve (Tina) Pistner of Kersey, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary J. Carr, 55, of East Main Street, Bradford, PA passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Olean General Hospital.
Born March 12, 1967, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late James Leland and Sandra L. (Sweet) Carr.
Mary attended Bradford Schools.
She was formerly employed as a housekeeper for local area families, but more recently was a homemaker.
Mary enjoyed playing the lottery, bingo, but most of all spending time with her family and her pets.
Surviving is her companion of more than 25 years, Rick L. Pope, one daughter, Danielle Reed, of Bradford, one step-daughter Krissy Campbell, one stepson, Mike Pope, nine grandchildren, Allie Burton, Taylor and Nikolas Kline, Catilin, Mike and James Pope. Christopher Campbell, Brittney and Jacob Quick, one sister, Janice Hulings, of Bradford, two brothers, James Carr, of Henretta NY, and Glenn Carr, of Bradford, and many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joseph Carr, one niece, Kristen Regal, and one nephew, Ralph Carr, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Mary at a later date to be announced. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Sharon L. Armstrong, 66, of Bradford, PA unexpectedly passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at her residence.
Born August 31, 1956, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Helen (Hopkins) Oleksa. She was a 1974 graduate of Limestone High School.
On September 12, 1981, in Limestone, NY at St. Patrick’s Church, she married Jeff P. Armstrong.
Sharon was a dedicated employee at W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery for nearly 45 years. She took great pride in her contribution to the quality production of USA made pocket knives. Her favorite pocket knife was the Copperhead. She retired earlier this year.
Sharon was an avid gardener. She enjoyed spending her free time working endlessly on her landscape beds, planting and transplanting her shrubs and flower gardens to get them just how she wanted them. During this first year of her retirement, she expanded her vegetable garden and flower gardens, with plans for more landscape bed additions this coming summer. Sharon was a skilled and independent craftswoman, who built and updated many parts of her house completely by herself. She had a knack for arts and crafts projects and created many beautiful wreaths and various decorations for friends and family. Sharon was also a talented seamstress, sewing one-of-a-kind dresses and costumes for her daughters and grandchildren. She knitted several detailed blankets for her daughters and grandchildren. The greatest joys of her life started nearly 15 years ago, when she was promoted from mom to Gramma. She devoted her life to her daughters and grandchildren. She always chose to forgo her own comforts and needs so that her daughters and grandchildren had everything and more than they needed in life.
Surviving are two daughters, Stacie (Bill McCann) Carey, and Allison (Fred) Armstrong-Graham, both of Bradford, four grandchildren, Kamden James Carey, Raiden Westlake, Maliya Graham, and Etta May McCann, one sister, Deborah C. (John) Bigler, of Bradford, one brother, John S. (Melissa) Oleksa, of Greenville, SC and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was proceeded in death by both her parents, one granddaughter, Aleksa Aylene Carey and her former spouse, Jeff P. Armstrong.

William J McCormack, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, of Bradford, PA passed away, Thursday, December 8, 2022.
Born December 12, 1942, in Bradford, he was the son of the late Harold and Nellie (Zook) McCormack.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of St. Bernard High School and attended the Erie School of Business.
On June 20, 1964, in Our Mother of Perpetual Help, he married Joan A Pantuso, who survives.
Bill started his career working as a Prudential insurance agent and then was hired in 1969 as a firefighter for the city of Bradford. He worked there for 38 years progressing from fire fighter to Captain and finally elevating to the position of Chief, which he held for 10 years until his retirement. He was instrumental in bringing paramedics to the department which provided advanced life support to the city. As Chief, Bill was determined to keep the department modernized with the most up to date equipment, technology, and additional training for each firefighter to increase their safety. He owned and operated the New Method Manufacturing Company and in 1984 created the McCormack Ambulance Service, which provided transportation services to the citizens of Bradford.
After retirement Bill and his wife Joan loved to travel to spend time with their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Bill also loved to hunt and fish and spend his spare time enjoying the outdoors. He was always there to support his family and friends or anyone who needed a helping hand. He was never shy about telling you a story, and his verbal directions were always very creative. Bill was also an active member of the Rambler association as their Treasurer.
Surviving in addition to his wife Joan of 58 years, is one daughter, Colleen (Thomas) Frigo of Bradford, three sons, Michael (Mary Jane) McCormack of Georgetown TX, Thomas (Celeste) McCormack of Las Vegas NV, Scott (Tracy) McCormack of Heath TX, seven grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Berger of Grand Prairie TX, Matthew (Abby) McCormack of Austin TX, Adam (Taylor) McCormack of Rockwall TX, Maddy McCormack of Las Vegas NV, Megan McCormack (Dustin Mastin) of Reno NV, Joey Frigo of Bradford, and Mia McCormack of Las Vegas NV, along with five great grandkids Emma and Mallory McCormack, Ryan and Jacob Berger and Emery Mastin.

Deborah “Debbie” Rickerson Ames, 70, of Warren, PA passed away on Friday December 9, 2022, in AHN, St Vincent’s Hospital, Erie, PA.
She was born in Warren, PA on April 26, 1952, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Elizabeth Andersen Rickerson. Debbie was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1970. On August 4, 1973, she married the love of her life, Mr. Craig Ames in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Warren, and they spent 50 years together. Debbie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Warren. She was employed for many years as a Deputy Registrar for the PA Department of Vital Statistics.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially around the holidays, she enjoyed journaling, flowers, and had a love for shopping.
She is survived by her loving husband, Craig R. Ames of Warren, four children Jason C. Ames, of Seattle, WA, Christina Ames Caplan and husband Brian of Denver, CO, Alexis D. Ames of Denver, CO, and Jayden E. Ames and her boyfriend Carter Borland, of Warren; seven grandchildren; two sisters Lisa Grinnell and husband Gregg, and Tina Rickerson all of Tiona, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Rickerson and Robert C. “Fluff” Rickerson.

Mary “Jeanne” Klaiber, age 96, of St. Marys, PA has gone to be with her Lord on December 10, 2022, following a brief illness.
She was born on January 25, 1926 in St. Marys, PA, the daughter of the late George and Marcella (Krieg) Hathorn. On January 31, 1948, she married the late James F. Klaiber who preceded her in death on August 13, 2016. Together they shared more than 68 years of love and happiness.
Jeanne was a lifelong resident of St. Marys, PA and a 1943 graduate of Central Catholic High School. As a devout Catholic, she was dedicated to the Church. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Society where she served as president for over 25 years and also a member of the Altar Society. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at the Sacred Heart Church, a cafeteria volunteer at the elementary school, and a Girl Scout leader. A homemaker most of her life, she worked at Montgomery Ward in St. Marys for several years.
Words cannot adequately express the endless love she had for her family, and that they had for her. She was a kind, loving, and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the rock of her family. She had a gift of hospitality. While she enjoyed traveling with her husband, friends, and family, she was most comfortable at home in the kitchen or at their camp where she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and anyone that stopped in to visit. One of her favorite past times was playing cards and board games. Jeanne will always be remembered by the way that she touched the lives of so many people.
She is survived by 6 children: John (Deborah) Klaiber of Jim Thorpe, PA; Georgia (Terry) Beyer of Indianapolis, IN; Ann (Larry) Walker of Pittsburgh, PA; Ginny (Ron) Kopko of Clarion, PA; Mike (Debbie) Klaiber, of Harrisburg, PA; JoAnn (Bill) Schatz of St. Marys, PA; by her grandchildren, Julie (Matthew) Hutchinson, Krista (Jeff) Linke, Scott (Clara) Walker, Jennifer (Shane) Byrd, Steven (Amanda) Walker, Alex Kopko, Alison (John) Kirkpatrick, Nicholas (Michelle) Wiencek, Kyle, Doug, and Bryan Schatz and 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Sally Lanzel, of St. Marys.

Beverly Nan Averill, 92, of 92 Deer Path Lane, Emporium, PA passed away at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Friday afternoon (December 9, 2022).
She was born July 13, 1930 in Weedville, PA a daughter of the late Dolph and Nancy Hedberg Bilodeau. On Feb. 4, 1950 in the First United Methodist Church, Emporium, PA she married the late William D. Averill who died Dec. 4, 2004. She later married Robert Wennin on July 7, 2012. He died November 7, 2022.
Beverly graduated from Bennetts Valley High School in 1948. She was a very active member of the Keating Summit United Methodist Church, for which she was recently recognized for her 70 years of service to the church. In her early years she worked at Sylvania in St. Marys, PA. She later sold Stanley Home Products while also being a full time homemaker. She loved traveling, gardening, and was an avid bowler for many years.
She is survived by two sons, David Averill (Cheryl), Emporium; and Douglas Averill (Sally), Mandeville, LA; a daughter, Joan Boshart (Tony), Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren: Vanessa, Heather, Lisa, Annie, Ben, Tim and Lori, four great grandchildren: Alex, Tyler, Bryce and River.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son, Alex Averill; grandson, Eric Averill, four brothers, John, Al, Fred and Gerry; six sisters, Mid, Christine, Dorothy, Esther, Emilie and Delores.

Kathleen I. Galloway Mong Schultz, 75, of South Center Street, Bradford, PA passed away on Saturday (Dec. 3, 2022) at her residence.
Born on April 10, 1947 she was the daughter of Carl and Beulah Cox Galloway. Kathleen attended Otto Eldred Schools.
Kathleen is survived by two sons, Danny P. (Diane) Mong Jr., and Jonathan Schultz; one daughter, Bonnie Easton and one sister Leila M. Galloway Soper.
Friends may call on Saturday (Dec. 10, 2022) at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred from noon to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
Karen M. Minard, 74, of Rt. 446, Eldred, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday (Dec. 8, 2022) in her home.
Born May 16, 1948, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Paul H. and Rose Russell Lasher.
Karen was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Otto-Eldred High School, class of 1966.
She was employed with the Hamlin Bank & Trust Co. of Eldred, for 20 years, before her retirement.
Karen attended both the Grace Chapel Fellowship, Farmers Valley, and the First Church of God, Eldred. She enjoyed decorating and working on her family farm.
Surviving in addition to her mother Rose Lasher of Eldred, and former husband, with whom she lived with, Don Minard, of Eldred, is a son, Shawn C. (Roberta) Minard of Virginia Beach, VA; four daughters, Cally L. (Stephen) Pisarczyk and Selina R. Buskirk both of Douglas, MA, Rebecca A. (Robert) Ellis of San Antonio, TX, Corrina L. Minard of Eldred; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don (Peg) Karrasch of Bradford, James (Sandy) Lasher of Eldred, Lester “Tiger” (Tammy) Lasher of Olean, NY; a sister, Charlotte (Don) Arond of Dubois, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a granddaughter, Jessica L. Pisarczyk.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 13, 2022) in the First Church of God, Eldred, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Kazimer, pastor, and Rev. Jerry Stauffer, pastor of Grace Chapel Fellowship, co-officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to the Eldred Fire Dept. or the Port Area Ambulance Service.

Loretta M. Marzucco, 88, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, formerly of 10 Main St., Lewis Run, PA passed away, Friday, December 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s residence in Punxsutawney.
Born May 1, 1934, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Vern and Anna (Kriegsch) Yonker.
Loretta was a 1952 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On June 27, 1953. in St. Francis Church, she married Anthony P. Marzucco, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2011.
Loretta worked for Corning Glass for 31 years. She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.
After retirement Lorretta and her husband Tony were snowbirds to Naples, Fl. for 21 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Toni Marie (Bob) Henretta, of Punxsutawney and Mary (Mike) Manning, of Butler, three sons John (Linda) Marzucco, Mark Marzucco, and Joe (Mickey) Marzucco, all of Naples, FL, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters, Dorothy Cooley, Gladys Jennings, Edith Middlebrough, Madeline Wilson, and Gloria Swanson, and four brothers, John Yonker, Raymond Yonker, Joseph Yonker, and James Yonker.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday December 12, 2022, at 1:00 pm in St. Francis Church with Fr. Jim Gutting as Celebrant. Committal services and entombment will follow in St. Bernard Mausoleum.

Jerry M. Bacon, 73, of 350 Front Street and a former Bolivar resident passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness.
Jerry was born on October 6, 1949 in Wellsboro PA. He was the son of Fay and Emma May Tompkins Bacon.
Jerry was a graduate of the Addison Central School, class of 1967. He was a former self employed farmer, later owned a lawnmower repair business in Bath and along with his brothers owned a car salvage business. While living in Bolivar, area residents may not have known Jerry’s name, however all knew him as the man who walked his loving dog in a stroller many miles each day around Bolivar.
Surviving are one son, Kevin (Melissa Lipka) Bacon, Bolivar; two grandchildren, Kayley Putnam Bacon, Bolivar and Khloe Bacon, Bolivar; one brother, Joseph Bacon.
There will be no prior services. A celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Steven R. “Horse” Evens, 73, of Port Allegany, PA passed away Thursday (December 8, 2022) at his residence.
He was born September 11, 1949 in Port Allegany, the son of Mary Jane Evens. On January 15, 1976, in Austin, PA, he married Beverly J. Olmstead, who survives.
He was a 1968 graduate of Port Allegany High School and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology.
Horse had worked as a quality technician at Temple-Inland of Mt. Jewett, PA, retiring in 2004.
Horse was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He loved to be in the outdoors. He was well known and loved by everyone. He was a generous and kind soul, a great father, grandfather and great grandfather. His greatest joy was his family.

Mila Howard, 84, of Howard Lane in Mt. Jewett, PA passed away Wednesday (Dec. 7) at her residence.
She was born on January 20, 1938 in Kane, the daughter of the late Clayton and Erma “LaRue” (Keys) Colson. On Oct. 26, 1957, in Mt. Jewett, she married Edmund Howard, who preceded her in death.
Mila was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and baking and raising her chickens. She also loved her dog and when she was younger, enjoyed cross country skiing.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce (Donald) McClelland of Bradford, Judy (Chip) Saf of Mt. Jewett and Linda (Hugh) Coudriet of Kane; one son, Ted (Kathy Donovan) Howard of Mt. Jewett; eight grandchildren, David McClelland, Jennifer Oknefski, Heather Boylan, Michele Swanson, Brianna Howard, Brayden Howard, Brynn Howard and Brant Howard; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice “Snookie” (Dave) Malone of Mt. Jewett and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Carrow and one brother Harold “Sonny” Colson

John Cooper, 78, of Hacker St. in Kane, PA passed away Tuesday (Dec. 6) at UPMC-Kane.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1944 in Columbus, OH, the son of the late John and Vera (VanWuyckhuyse ) Cooper. On Aug. 23, 1975, in Webster, NY, he married Beth Pearce, who survives.
Mr. Cooper had worked as a nurse for several years and had also been employed by Tops Market. He served in the Coast Guard and was a member of the DAV. John enjoyed his morning crossword puzzles and reading. He was a history and sports buff and was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert (Leslie) Cooper of Palatka, FL; two granddaughters, Jasmine Lydic and Sadie Cooper; a grandson Liam Cooper and one sister, Laurie (Bruce) Yanz of Webster, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lindy Cristin Lydic and one brother Todd Cooper.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Thomas Eddinger, 76, of New Jersey Ave. in James City, PA passed away Tuesday (Dec. 6) at UPMC-Kane. He was born on June 30, 1946 in James City, the son of the late Fred and Doris (Oyler) Edinger. On July 12, 1969 in Grove City, he married Cheri Lutes, who survives.
Tom had worked for several area sawmills, including Kane Dimensions, Zuzeks and Bennetts. He also worked for Highland Township for many years. He was a prior chief of the Highland Township Fire Department and was also a founding member of the department. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandson.
Surviving relatives include, two sons Bill (Misty) Edinger of James City and Roy (Crystal) Edinger of Kane; one daughter, Betsy (Terry) Lupole of Kane; two granddaughters, Ashley (John) Burritt and Kayla Lupole; one grandson, Allen Edinger; a step granddaughter, Haylee Swanson; three step grandsons ,Krichtain Swanson, Shane Swanson and Dylan Swanson; a great-grandson Dallas Lupole; one sister, Deborah Holmes of Mt. Jewett and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Edinger and three sisters, Donna Hulings, Gabby Morris and Ellen Hulings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Dec. 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Township Fire Dept.

Michael Blauser, 72, of Greeves St. in Kane, PA passed away Tuesday (Dec. 6) at Warren General Hospital. He was born on April 16, 1950 in Kane, the son of the late William and Hazel (Slagle) Blauser.
Mr. Blauser had served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He had worked as a painter at Affiliated Industries and also as a cook for the Peppermill Restaurant in Warren.. He was a member of the Ludlow American Legion Post 489.
He is survived by on son Michael Blauser Jr. of FL; a stepdaughter, Jamie Moore of Johnsonburg; one brother Bill (Darlene) Blauser of Ludlow; two sisters, Kelly (Donald) Bush and Christine (Richard) Dilley, both of Kane; a sister-in-law, Amy Blauser of Kane; a brother-in-law, Alan Lindemuth of Kane and two step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Miranda and Jawayne Blauser; two brothers, Joseph and Don Blauser; a sister, Abby Lindemuth; his stepfather Richard Blauser and a stepbrother, John Blauser.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday (Dec. 11) at the Cummings Funeral Home, from Noon until 2:00 p.m., at which time a service will be conducted with the Rev. Chad Troup

MONTOURSVILLE – Donna Jean Nelson Schwartz Painter, 97, of Hughesville, PA died Monday (Dec. 5, 2022) at Muncy Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1925, in Smethport, a daughter to the late Don C. and Lois G. Nelson.
Donna graduated from Smethport High School, McKean County in 1943 and Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing, Sayre, in 1947.
She was staff nurse at Coudersport Hospital in 1947, Williamsport Hospital from 1949-1951 and Divine Providence Hospital from 1961-1964. She was then employed at Williamsport Hospital from 1965-1976 as ICU Head Nurse as well as Patient Clinical Instructor. Then from 1980-1982 she was staff nurse at Red Bird Missions Hospital in Beverly, Ky.
She was active in American Red Cross, Cancer Society, Reach to Recovery Program, Hospice, United Methodist Women, Home Visitor with Faith United Methodist Church, and attended Community Baptist Church, Montoursville, for many years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded by her brothers, Gerald C. Nelson and Frederick D. Nelson; first husband, Louis R. Schwartz in 1979; son Don E. Schwartz in 2000; and second husband, David G. Painter in 2021.
Surviving is her son, Jeffrey (Sharon) Schwartz of Tyler, Texas; stepdaughter, Glenda (Charles) Farrington of Montoursville; grandchildren, Eric (Crystal) Schwartz of Tyler, Texas, Melissa Schwartz Grimes of Tyler, Texas, Marcey (Todd) Snyder of Bloomsburg, Douglas Farrington of Wellsboro, and David (Alicia) Farrington of Sanford, Fla.; sister-in-law, Kimball H. Nelson; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery and Life Celebration will be announced at a later date.
