Theodore Louis SEELEY, III, 48, of Wellsville, NY, formerly of Belmont, peacefully ended his long battle on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in his home, going into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family.
Born December 31, 1974, in Cuba, he was the son of Theodore Louis Jr. and Roberta Donovan Seeley. On April 16, 2022, in Almond, he married the former Amber Slocum, who survives.
Deborah Janz, 68, of E. Main St. in Mt Jewett, PA passed away Tuesday (July 25) at her residence. Born Dec. 31, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, she is the daughter of the late David and Mary Louise (English) Kamer.
Debbie was a self-proclaimed hippie with a strong spiritual side who loved spending time in the outdoors and tending to her garden. An avid reader and creative writer, she enjoyed volunteering at the library and her time with the book club. She fell in love with her new community, forging friendships that brought her great happiness. For everyone who knew her, Debbie had the biggest heart and was full of love.
Richard D. Silsby of 8849 Deer Creek Road, Portville, NY passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the Olean General Hospital.
Richard was born on July 23, 1975, in Olean and was the son of David A. and Alice M. Blauvelt Silsby.
Richard was a 1995 graduate of Olean High School. He then began working at Reiss Game Farm, where he worked for the past 25 years. Richard enjoyed spending time with his son and camping.
Francisca Carrio, 94, of 3979 Little John Drive, York, formerly of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Harrisburg.
Born on January 8, 1929, in Ondara, Spain, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Josephine (Crappio) Domenech.
On November 25, 1954, in Spain, she married Juan G. Carrio who preceded her in death on March 20, 2009.
During her time in Bradford, she held various jobs, including being employed at Case Cutlery, where her husband also worked.
After moving to York in 2003, she volunteered at the White Rose Senior Center for 10 years. She assisted in preparing and serving breakfast three days a week and was very proud of the fact that she was elected as “Homecoming Queen”. Francisca was a “people person” who loved nothing more than talking with someone.
Surviving are two sons, Jose (Dawn Emerick) Carrio, of York, Juan (Nadia) Carrio, of Baltimore, MD, two sisters Juanita DelVecchio, of New Jersey, Rosita McAndrew, of Pittsburgh, and one brother, Juan (Terese) Domenech, of Baltimore, MD, one grandson, David (April) Carrio, one granddaughter, Christine (Gary) Urbach, and one great grandchild, Blake Carrio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan, her brothers Luis and Antonio Domenech, her sisters Mary Roig and Josefa Bisquert, her sister-in-law Teresa Domenech, and brothers-in-law Jose Bisquert, Juan Roig, Anthony DelVecchio, and Michael McAndrew.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Avenue, Bradford, where a prayers service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Committal services and entombment will follow in St Bernard Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Ronald E. Dixon, 77, of Gowanda, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Roswell Park Hospital, in Buffalo.
Ronald was born in Bradford, on March 5, 1946, a son of the late Glenn and Erma (Booth) Dixon.
He was a graduate from Bradford Area High School. On March 26, 1964 he enlisted in the United States Marines and served until his honorable discharge on March 20, 1968.
On August 27, 1971, in Four Square Gospel Church, he married Josephine (Hedlund) Dixon who passed away January 1, 1993.
Linda Whiteman Shick, 62, of Olean, N.Y., formerly of Bradford, PA died Tuesday July 25, 2023, in Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.
Born May 27, 1961, she was the ninth child and first daughter of Donald J. and Shirley Stroup Whiteman Sr. On April 1, 1995, at the Bolivar Drive Baptist Church, she married Dennis Shick, who died April 8, 2015.
Linda had worked for many years at the former Howard Johnson Hotel in Bradford, and then at Bradford Regional Medical Center in housekeeping services.
Martha Cady Palumbo, 75, of 30 Parkview Ave in Bradford, PA passed July 25, 2023, after a two-year extended illness.
Born Martha “Marty” Cady, on July 12, 1948, in Jamestown, NY, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Jeanette (Wiggers) Cady. She grew up in North Clymer NY but lived most of her adult life in McKean County, many of those years in Bradford and Eldred.
Marty graduated from Clymer Central School, in 1967, where she was a cheerleader and was the Betty Crocker Award Winner during her senior year. She attended Jamestown Business College, Jamestown Community College, SUNY Geneseo, and graduate school at Clarion State College. She was an accomplished Speech Therapist for 35 years at the Seneca Intermediate Unit 9 and worked mostly in the Otto-Eldred and Oswayo Valley School Districts.
Richard Joseph “D.D.” Darrin, 75, of Coudersport, PA passed away on July 26, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born on August 1, 1947, in Coudersport, the son of the late Elwood “Cy” and Beverly “Eloise” (Lowe) Darrin. He married the former Valerie M. Karhan on July 2, 2006, and has celebrated 17 years of marriage.
Dick was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of 1966 and was a Marine veteran, serving in Vietnam in the 1st Division during the Tet Offensive. Dick was a long-haul truck driver for 36 years.
Jan M. Knisely, 49, of Fredericktown, Pa, passed away unexpectedly Monday (July 24) at UPMC-Kane. Born Oct. 24, 1973, in Washington, PA, he is the son of William and Susan (Hermann) Knisely.
Jan loved spending time at his camp with special friends outside of Kane.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Knisely of Washington; two brothers, William and Christopher (Elizabeth) Knisely niece Sarah (Troy) Frazier; all of Washington, Pa an aunt, Diane (Bill) Evans of Wakeman, OH and several cousins.
He is proceeded in death by grandparent Laura and William Knisely and Lena and Herbert Hermann. Also and aunt, Linda Glasser.
Memorial contributions can be made to a trust fund that will be set up at a later date for his daughter, Lauren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Richard F. Gaertner, 88, of Melbourne, Fl., a former longtime resident, and former Police Chief of Bradford Township in Bradford, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Born March 26, 1935, in Tarentum, he was a son of the late Albert and Catherine (Black) Gaertner.
Dr. Kurt Josef Laemmer, DMD, 59, of Bradford, PA, passed away on July 23, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
Born October 3, 1963 in Franklin, PA, he was the son of Carolyn Hexammer Laemmer and Kurt Laemmer Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and former spouse Karrie Laemmer. Surviving are Rolf Laemmer, 57, (Diane), of Franklin, PA, his daughters Kristen Laemmer, 24, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Juliah Laemmer, 23, of Pittsburgh, PA.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Westminster College in 1985, followed by a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1990. He was an active member of Delta Sigma Delta, where he formed lifelong friendships.
Dr. Laemmer was an esteemed member of the dental community, serving his patients in Bradford and later Smethport since 1990.
Heath D. Setzer, 43, a lifelong resident of Austin, PA passed away in his home on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Born on Friday, January 25, 1980 in Coudersport, he was a son of Ronald Sr. and Victoria M. Lamer Setzer. On October 31, 2022 in Galeton, he married Amanda L. Pritt, who survives.
Heath attended Austin Area School. He was employed as a truck driver for Postlewait Trucking, Inc. in Turtlepoint.
Janet Lois Wilson HALE, 76, of Mansfield, PA, died Monday, July 24, 2023 in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Born February 2, 1947, in Sayre, she was the daughter of Richard M. and Lois E. Buck Wilson. On June 8, 1968, in Bicester, England, she married Donald M. Hale, who predeceased her in August of 1992.
Phyllis Kay Cummings, age 75, of Bushkill, PA passed away on July 23, 2023 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg, PA. Phyllis was born March 3, 1948 in Corning, NY and was a daughter to the late George and Freida (Cook) Musto.
She loved the beach and being in nature. She enjoyed watching the birds in her bird feeder and she collected plants. What she loved most of all was being around her two sons and grandchildren. Her sons and grandchildren were what she was most proud of. She was surrounded by so much family and loved ones who loved her unconditionally. Her memory will live on in all of her family’s hearts.
She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Elkland, PA alongside her parents.
Lori Ann McIlwain, age 60, of Lawrenceville, PA passed away on July 20, 2023 at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Lori was born December 13, 1962 in Watkins Glenn, NY and was a daughter to Warren and Cecile (Manwaring) McIlwain.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Melissa Wilson; children, Melissa (Joshua) Rose and James (Andrea) Mays Jr.; grandsons, Langstin Rose and Russel Mays; granddaughters, Tatum and Payton Rose; her father; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and niece, Billie Jo.
Susan J. Kilpatrick, 67, of N. Open Brook Rd., Turtlepoint, PA passed away Sunday (July 23, 2023) in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
Born July 22, 1956, in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of Chester R. and Loretta M. Boysha Hartman.
Susan had lived in Buffalo & Hinsdale, NY, Bradford, PA, and most recent, Turtlepoint, PA.
She was employed with Carlson’s General Store, Turtlepoint, before her retirement.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Smethport.
Surviving in addition to her longtime companion, Tim P. Elliott, with whom she lived, are two sons, William and Robert Elliott both of Smethport, PA; and a daughter, Heidi M. Elliott of Port Allegany; and a granddaughter, Sophia Benson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Susan’s request, there will be no services.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Guy E. Lucore, 65, of Pennsylvania Ave. in James City, PA passed away Saturday afternoon (July 22) at his residence. Born Nov. 20, 1957 in Kane, he is the son of the late Warren and June (Shaffer) Lucore.
Guy had worked at Kane Screen for several years and then he worked as a laborer for Highland Township.
Rowland Proashas, 94, of 72 Covert Rd., Kane, PA passed away Thursday (July 20) at his residence. Born Aug. 6, 1928 in Hamlin Township, he is the son of the late Harry and Leora (Pressler) Proashas. On June 28, 1952, in Chester, PA he married Beverly “Jill” Witherow, who preceded him in death.
Roland joined the Navy in June of 1946 and was a mechanic on planes in Pensacola, FL. He was honorably discharged in May of 1948. He worked as an auto mechanic for several years at local garages, then became the mechanic for the Kane Borough, where he later served as Borough Streets Supervisor for many years. He worked for the Borough from 1965 until 1990, after that he worked in his private auto repair shop until his retirement.
Linda R. “Nana” WEINREBER, 73, of Belmont, NY, died Sunday, July 23, 2023 in F.F. Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua, surrounded by her family.
Born March 17, 1950, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Franklin A. and Florence V. Earl Skillman. A graduate of Wellsville High School, she earned a secretarial degree from Alfred State. She was employed by Carl Butler Insurance Agency and then was a stay-at-home mom. Linda’s interests included reading and playing Facebook games. She loved her cats, Buffy and Smokey, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: two daughters, Heather (Melvin) Smith of Circleville, OH and Dawn (Kevin) Scott of Angelica; eight grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Chelsey Payne, Mackenzie Payne, Dylan Weinreber, Sarah Weinreber, Liam Smith, Hayley Smith, and Trenton Scott; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Remington, and Bentley; four sisters, Sheila Greene of Wellsville, Sandra (Timothy) Aiken of Wellsville, Kathy (Dale) Mills of Port Edward, and Carol Skillman of Cobleskill; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Shane M. Weinreber; a brother, Frank Skillman; a sister, Marilyn Edwards; the father of her children, Mark Weinreber; and two brothers-in-law, William Greene and David Hullihen.
A gathering to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at the Dyke Street Fire Hall, 89 E. Hanover St., Wellsville on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a service at 6:00 PM. Rev. Dennis Munro will officiate. Per Nana’s request, everyone is requested to wear leopard print to the service. Cremation was at Olney-Foust Private Crematory. Anthony Thomas ROSSELLI, 63, of Houghton, NY, died Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Houghton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born May 7, 1960, in Rochester, he was the son of Anthony Guy and Diana Lourichella Rosselli.
Surviving are: two sisters, Gerri (Randy) Smallridge and Janet Cook; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Wolff. Services will be private.
