3 years ago today, we responded to our first emergency incident, to assist Blossburg Fire & EMS with a search near Arnot.
Since then we’ve responded to over 70 requests in support of fires, flooding, searches, manhunts, damage assessments, and more.
Through the support of community members, emergency responders, and public safety professionals in North Central PA, we’ve updated our drone capabilities, added marine capabilities in the form of an underwater ROV in 2022 and a 16’ boat with side scan sonar in 2023. We’ve built the first of its kind relationship with US Customs & Border Protection’s Air & Marine Ops division, and worked directly with them and Border Patrol operators in 2023. We also focused on next generation recruiting with the addition of a high tech simulator through a grant from the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health. We are a member agency of the newly formed Task Force 81 which includes departments from around the region who have unmanned and remote technology.
A lot has happened in 3 years and we feel proud and fortunate to have the support, partnerships, and trust that we do.
We’re working hard to grow more in 2024 with some projects and plans that are in the works.
Our motto is “Novus Optios”, which simply means “New Options”.
