At 5:30 AM on Saturday, Bradford Firefighters have been dispatched to the area of Avenue B & Elm Street for a possible house fire. Caller sees smoke & flames from the highway. City police are on scene and are reporting a fire in the yard at Metalico.
On June 8, at 12:58 am Corydon and Bradford Twp. Fire Depts. and Bradford City Ambulance were dispatched to assemble at Tracy Ridge Campground for a land rescue of people deep on the North Country Trail a 50 year old male is having a medical emergency. Allegheny Forrest Service is also dispatched
At 11:26 AM on Friday, Smethport Fire Dept. was dispatched for traffic control at the scene of a vehicle crash at 3929 Rt. 46 in the area of Bordell Crossroad.
At 10:54 AM on Friday, Knoxville & Osceola Fire & EMS were dispatched to a vehicle over the embankment near 5465 Route 49. One occupant is self-extricated. Reported to be a rural mail carrier.
At 3:11 PM on Thursday, Otto Twp. Fire Dept & TLC & Bradford City Ambulance have been dispatched to Switzer Drive & Looker Mountain Trail for a 2 vehicle crash with entrapment. Reported to be a dump truck & passenger vehicle with one person entrapped.
3:30 PM–Derrick City Fire Rescue dispatched to assist with entrapment.
Wednesday afternoon, the LFD was dispatched for a reported appliance fire inside a home on Ryons Circle in Lawrenceville.
Chief 8-30 was the first to arrive on scene, and he would hold Command. Reporting smoke showing and flames in the kitchen. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 4 was next to arrive.
The fire quickly spread throughout the kitchen, living room, and back porch of the home.
Engine 8-3’s crew arrived, stretched their front bumper line through the garage, out the back door of the garage and into the back yard. The fire had spread from the kitchen to the back porch and living room inside. LFD firefighters got a quick knock on the back porch fire, advanced the line up the porch stairs and hit the inside of the kitchen fire quickly through a window, and then advanced the line inside the structure and knocked out the fire in the kitchen and living room.
Around 9:50 PM on Wednesday, Stations 10 & 20 along with ambulances 10 & 5 were dispatched to the area of Rt 6 near roadside rest for a one-car crash. Chief 10 responded with command. Rescue 10, engine 10, engine 20 and utility 20 responded. Mt.Jewett Volunteer Fire Department
There were no injuries and MA5 was able to return.
At 9:45 AM on Thursday, Rew Fire Dept & Bradford City Ambulance were dispatched to dead man’s curve on Rt. 46 (Bradford side) to assist PSP at a vehicle crash. Instructed to stage at top of hill and await instructions.
10:04 AM–Proceed to scene. While we have found no update from police on incidents in Olean, Portville & Eldred, social media comments on our page indicate this may be a Olean Public Works truck that was stolen at gunpoint at Franchot Park in Olean, reportedly robbed a credit union in Portville and a bank in Eldred. Officers were closing in on the suspect about the time this crash was reported. Schools were being notified to lock down when scanner reports shortly after this accident was reported indicated the suspect was in custody.
On June 5, at 9:55 pm Mt. Jewett and Hamlin were dispatched to the Road Side Rest on Rt. 6 in Hamlin Twp. for a one vehicle rollover crash into a ditch with no entrapment.
At 5:11 PM on Wednesday, Mansfield Fire Dept. was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at 17,000 block of Rt. 6. Homeowner says no fire but didn’t have password. On-scene reports nothing showing. RECALL by Chief 2.
At 11:39 PM on Tuesday, Rew & Otto Fire Depts, TLC Ambulance & Bradford City Ambulance were dispatched to Rt. 46 & Fitch Hill Road for a minivan/Side-by-Side ATV crash with 2 injured. Checking availability of air medical if needed. City ambulance recalled. 2nd TLC ambulance responding. Air medical dispatched. Second air medical dispatched.
