At 5:54 PM on Thursday, Galeton Fire Dept. has been dispatched to 613 South Brookland Road for tractor-trailer accident with wires down. Responders on scene report no injuries. Telephone line down. One lane is passable.

At 6:00 PM on Thursday, St. Marys Fire & EMS dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash at 617 North Michael Street.

At 4:35 PM on Thursday, Liberty & Blossburg dispatched to Rt. 15 Northbound near the rock quarry. Vehicle crash into median. Operator self-extricated denying injuries.

At 4:21 PM on Thursday, Port Allegany ambulance has been called to Chestnut Street for chest pain.

At 4:13 PM on Thursday, Coudersport Fire & EMS have been dispatched to the area of 993 Rt. 6 West for a vehicle that hit the guiderail & went into the ditch. Unknown if injuries. Report one occupant self-extricated denying injuries. Use caution if driving in the area.

At 4:02 PM on Thursday, Coudersport Ambulance to Rt. 6 West for a person ill.

At 1:42 PM on Thursday, Port Allegany Ambulance has been called to Gleason Hollow Road for general illness.

At 1:23 PM on Thursday, Blossburg & Liberty Fire & EMS have been dispatched to Rt. 15 at the Sebring Exit for a 2 tractor-trailer crash. Southbound Rt. 15 is completely blocked by jackknifed tractor-trailer. Traffic being detoured. Liberty Command reports NO INJURIES.

At 12:22 PM on Thursday, Wellsboro Fire & Ambulance have been dispatched to 7991 Route 6 in Delmar Township for a crash with a vehicle on its side.

At 11:00 AM on Thursday, Mansfield Fire Dept. has been dispatched to Rt. 660 in the S curves for a vehicle over the embankment. No injury. Traffic control needed.

At 9:00 AM on Thursday, Fire Rescue & EMS have been dispatched to Bottom Hill Road near Thorn Bottom Road in Farmington Township for a one vehicle into a tree crash.

All unit RECALLED. There is no one around the vehicle.

On December 22 at 2:01 AM. Hinsdale Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to I86 in Hinsdale for a one vehicle rollover crash there’re two males and a female with unknown injuries.

On December 21 at 7:17 Pm. Mt. Jewett Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to 20 E. Main St. for a two vehicle accident with no injuries the vehicle hit a parked car with debris in the roadway

At 5:56 PM on Wednesday, St. Marys Fire Dept. was dispatched to a chimney fire. Location was not understandable.

At 4:29 PM on Wednesday, Genesee Ambulance has been called to Peet Brook Road in Allegany Township for a fall victim with a head & rib injury.

At 4:26 PM on Wednesday, Roulette Fire Dept. has been dispatched to the Port Allegany Fire Station for a two year old with a head injury.

At 4:20 PM on Wednesday, Austin Fire Dept. has been dispatched to 88 South Woods Road for a snowmobile on fire.

Austin was RECALLED.

At 1:56 PM on Wednesday, Wellsboro Fire Dept. has been dispatched to St. Peter’s Church on Central Avenue for an automatic fire alarm.

At 1:50 PM on Wednesday, Shinglehouse Fire & EMS have been dispatched to Honeoye & Butter Creek Roads for a report of a one vehicle crash over the embankment.

Robert G. Goodrich, age 87, of Elkland, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro.

Born July 13, 1935 in Osceola, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Bernice W. (Zimmer) Goodrich.

Bob proudly served in the US Army from 1950 – 1953, during the Korean War.

He married Nancy M. (Mortimer) and they spent 48 years together until her passing on February 16, 2009.

Bob was a machinist, journeyman tool & die maker, draftsman and welder. He worked through the years at Dresser, Ingersoll Rand Foundry and Ward Manufacturing and he was a retired minister from Wesley Chapel in Elkland. He was always building / fixing up the church and if he could get his hands on it, he would try to fix anything.

Bob loved his community and would say “Elkland is my parish”. He was a member of the American Legion Post #428 and served for years on the Elkland Zoning Board. He loved Army football, hunting, gardening and animals; two of his favorite dogs, Julie and Missy.

Bob is survived by his children, Nanette and David Yauger of Titusville, PA, Bob and Becky Goodrich of Osceola, Mark Goodrich of Elkland, Jon Goodrich of Harrisburg and Steve and Debbie Goodrich of Middlebury Center; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Thompson of Elkland; special foreign exchange student, Kirsi (Filppula) Miskala of Finland and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Goodrich; a grandson, Brandon Goodrich; great grandson, Josiah Goodrich; great granddaughter, Nevaeh Goodrich and daughter in law, Kim Goodrich.

Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Friday, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately on Friday at 12:00 PM with Rev. Robert Symons officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Highland Cemetery.
