Carl M. Ripley, 75, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at UPMC Wellsboro.

Born September 26, 1947, in Elmira, NY, he was a son of the late Allen and Iva (Draper) Ripley. Carl was a graduate of Elmira Southside High School and was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On April 22, 1983 in Coudersport, PA, he married the former Margie Snyder, who survives.

Carl owned and was an agent at Nationwide Insurance in Coudersport and then later, owned Carl Ripley Insurance in Ormond Beach, FL.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Galeton, a member of both the Galeton and Coudersport Rotary and a member of the Ormond Beach Kiwanis Club in Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and socializing.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Margie Ripley, are a daughter, Melissa (David) Von Elm, New Mexico; a stepson, Gary Frith, Galeton; and a sister, Nancy (Anthony) DeGuglielmo, Southport, NY.

In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by a son, Frank Ripley and a stepson, Kenneth Frith.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at the family’s convenience.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Galeton.
