Carl Joseph Luppino, 88, of Warren
Carl Joseph Luppino, 88, of Warren, PA died suddenly on January 2, 2025, after suffering a heart attack. He bravely battled Parkinson’s Disease for several years.
Carl was born as Carmelo Giuseppe Luppino on November 7, 1936, in Tionesta, PA to the late Nicola and Concetta Leuzzi Luppino. Carl graduated from Franklin High School in 1954, and then served in the U.S. Navy for three years.
After completing his time in the Navy, Carl attended Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY and earned an associate degree in accounting. Following school, he resided and worked in New York City where he met Catherine Cormack. Carl and Cathie married on October 12, 1963, in Tuckahoe, NY, and, after marrying, they resided in Yonkers, NY.
Carl and his family left New York to move to Franklin, PA where Carl worked for Joy Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants.
Carl and his wife enjoyed many years square dancing with Circle 8. Carl continued his weekly ritual of card playing with his buddies and always enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren. Over the last several years Carl and Cathie spent winters in Florida. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, dancing, huge bowls of ice cream, golfing, and eventually being along for the ride in the golf cart when he could no longer play. He loved telling jokes and making us all laugh. He could tell a joke like no other.
Carl was a kind and loving husband, father, grandad, and great grandad. The world won’t be the same without him. His family adored and loved him more than words can say. Give your loved ones a hug when you can because you never know when it will be your last.
