Cameron County Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade Details
Ghosts, goblins, princesses, and monsters are invited to the Cameron County Halloween Sidewalk Parade on Saturday, October 28. Emporium Food Market and the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce teaming up for the event. Prizes will be given to the scariest, prettiest, most original, and funniest in three age categories 5-10, 11-14, and 15 and over.
Participants must register at the chamber office before 3 pm on Saturday, October 28. Business trick or treating and the sidewalk parade begins at 3 pm. Smoker Logging Scarey Downtown Square opens at 4 with a blowup slide, obstacle course, and food for purchase. Trunk or Treat takes place 4-6 in the Emporium NAPA parking lot and townwide trick or treating is by porch light invitation only 6-8 pm.
“For years the chamber has been asked to bring back the Halloween Parade, and Emporium Food Market agreed to purchase prizes and provide the judges,” says chamber executive director Tina Solak. This event continues to grow each year. Dare to Enter the Cameron County Recreation Center Haunted House will be open October 28 through October 31, 6 -10 pm. Businesses not located along Fourth Street in Emporium, are invited to set up downtown.
Sizerville State Park will host Halloween activities on October 31. It is the Spooktacular Skelebration with games and a craft. Costumes are encouraged, so stop by for a ghostly good time and learn about skulls, bats and spiders.
