CAMERON COUNTY BUSINESS RESOURCE SUMMIT EVENT SCHEDULE RELEASED
The Cameron County Commissioners are excited to invite area business owners, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and organizational leaders to the Cameron County Business Resource Summit, on Tuesday, August 27th. The following organizations will be onsite: Workforce Solutions of North Central Pa., North West Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC), Small Business Development Center – Penn West Clarion, North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission, and Northern Pennsylvania Regional College.
The Business Resource Summit will be at the Cameron County Courthouse (20 E. 5th St. Emporium, Pa 15834), in the Courtroom, from Noon to 4 pm. This event is free and open to the public, no reservations are required. Attendees may attend the entire event, select presentations of interest, or come solely to visit vendor tables to engage with organization representatives, gather information, and learn about available resources and programs.

Noon to 1 pm: Vendor tables open for the public.

3 to 4 pm: Vendor tables open for the public.
Each organization will deliver a 20-minute presentation covering its mission, programs, and services. Attendees may stay for the entire event or attend only presentations of interest. Vendor tables will be set up from Noon to 4 pm so attendees can engage with organization representatives, gather information, and learn about available resources and programs. Let us introduce each of the organizations attending:
Workforce Solutions of North Central PA: Workforce Solutions for North Central PA is the Local Workforce Development Board overseeing and evaluating the workforce system in the North Central Workforce Development Area, which includes six counties. Established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, the board manages WIOA and other funding, directs workforce development programs, and coordinates regional career services while creating strategies to enhance the local economy and workforce training.
NW Industrial Resource Center: The Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is a not-for-profit organization supporting small and mid-sized manufacturers in northwest and north-central Pennsylvania through consulting and tailored training solutions. By leveraging public and private partnerships, NWIRC helps manufacturers achieve growth and improve performance with advanced strategies, technologies, and skill development programs.
Small Business Development Center – Penn West Clarion: The PennWest Clarion SBDC provides consulting services and educational programs to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their small business. The PennWest Clarion SBDC consultants work with entrepreneurs in confidential, one-to-one engagements to help them with a range of business issues including testing a new business proposition, shaping a business plan, investigating funding opportunities, and much more.
North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission: The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean, and Potter Counties with a variety of economic, community, infrastructure, human services, and technology programs. It employs a dedicated staff to manage complex state and federal programs, significantly benefiting regional development and services.
Northern Pennsylvania Regional College: NPRC offers associate degrees and workforce training to provide accessible educational opportunities and foster prosperous careers within our 10-county region in northern Pennsylvania. Through community partnerships and local resources, NPRC reduces barriers to success, supports student achievement, and drives economic growth in the area.
